Frisco man says HOA won't let him park pickup on driveway 01:32 PM CDT on Monday, August 18, 2008
By STEVE STOLER / WFAA-TV (Channel 8) sstoler@wfaa.com If there's one thing Texans are serious about, it's pickups.
But a Frisco man says his truck is being targeted simply because his homeowners association doesn't think it's classy enough.
Jim Greenwood said he never dreamed his HOA would have a problem with his new Ford F-150 pickup. Then he received the first of three notices threatening him with fines.
"Mr. Greenwood, you're violating a subdivision rule that prohibits pickup trucks in your driveway," the notice reads.
Stonebriar HOA rules allow several luxury trucks on driveways, including the Cadillac Escalade, Chevy Avalanche, Honda Ridgeline and Lincoln Mark LT.
But most Ford, Dodge or Chevy pickups are restricted.

If I park a new $30,000 truck in my drive, and my sissy, metrosexual neighbors whine about it, they can kiss my big white butt.
There is just no way in hell I'd live in a neighborhood like that with some nebbish getting into my business.
Yah. Before I bought, besides looking at the rules I also stopped and asked a homeowner I found in his front yard about that very question and a few other things. He not only told me what I needed to know he pointed me to several people who did it regularly without problem.
But these days, there are very few neighborhoods that do not have H.O.A.s. I mean, I’m not spending $300,000.00 on a house just to have my rights stripped away. My grandfather did not fight The Nazis in W.W. II just to have homegrown nazis here telling you what you can do with your own property that YOU paid for. The H.O.A. is anti-American as you can get.
