I would love to see the Republicans go with a ‘winner’ theme for the race! Simply refuse to dwell on America's problems and promises to fix them. Don't talk about what America should be, but rather what America IS, and to an extent what it's been to the world for 200 years. That's what Ronald Reagan did, he was a true America cheerleader, and he did it so naturally. McCain has the ability to lead the cheers just as well. He's certainly no Ronald Reagan, but he has a unique set of talents and abilities that he can put to use singing the praises of the greatest country in the history of the world.

Just forget all the spots showing Obama in black and white, mournful music and horror flick announcer's voice. Feel free to remark on how badly the other side sees America, but then move on and show the America that makes us what we are.

Remember the Alaska Airlines commercial years ago, where the guy goes through first-class and it's all champaign and caviar, music and beautiful people. Then he steps into couch and the scene changes to a Calcutta street scene!

Play up the differing views of the two parties on America and tell them which America we get depends, after all is said and done, on them.

McCain’s message is already entrenched in “tough times” talk. It’s a bit ridiculous when you consider how resilient our economy has been.
