In principal, leaving children of candidates out political discourse sounds wonderful, however, in practice, I think most of us know it is a fantasy. Like it or not, a candidate, and their family, become virtually public property. And the family, I mean the whole family, had better be prepared for the scrutiny.
I'm not saying this is a good thing or a right thing. It is unfortunate, but it is a real thing.

The thing I really admired, that we all admired, about Palin’s speech was her story of how she went after the crooks and liars in OUR own party. We all cheered that because we want to walk the walk.

Check out the massive unending scandals that occur in all of the dem-controlled big cities in this country. Chicago, Detroit, Frisco, Boston, Philly, New Orleans, to name a few are utterly infested with crooks from top to bottom. Payroll padding, public housing scams, pension scams, kickbacks, vote buying and stealing, bribery, all aided and abbetted by a totally corrupt and dying mainstream media.
Obama learned his sleazy brand of politics from the worst of the worst—chicago radicals and ward-heelers. His operatives try to destroy a 17-year old girl and then he belatedly “takes the high rode”. His MO is blindingly obvious.

The MSM did not run with this story until they had a press release from the Palin family. So, I would Imagine that the MSM would have ran with the John Edwards story if he had a press release stating that he had been cheating on his cancer stricken wife.

Not only that, but should the unthinkable happen and Sarah drops out because of the pressure on her family, there is no one...not a single person I can think of...who would be even a tenth as good to replace her.
