I just watched the most amazing bit of TV in decades - I cannot wait to see the YouTube version of it. Wolf Ditzer (aka Blitzer) was hosting Gloria Berger, Bill Bennet, Donna Brazille an John King (I believe) on The Situation Room and were discussing young Bristol Palin’s (Governor Palin’s oldest daughter) pregnancy and her plans to have the baby and marry the father. At the center of this discussion was Barack Obama’s call to keep the families (and these personal decisions) off limits. But what does CNN do? They air a woman reporter who ran to Alaska questioning the entire abstinence position of Governor Palin in light of her daughter’s pregnancy. It was pathetic.
Besides the Duh factor that abstinence works every time it is tried (pregnancies being proof of the opposite) Bill Bennet was rightfully outraged at CNN and Blitzer for bringing the Palin family’s personal issues into the debate like this. Bennett was hammering Blitzer who did not want to concede CNN crossed the line.
John King was looking just stunned and as if he was going to get sick. He wanted nothing to do with the muck raking by CNN.

Sometimes, ameagle, its just fun to play with the Trolls a little...let them lather up to their inevitable FRenzy...and either opus out or get the zot. I am pleasantly suprised that only about 3 have risen from the ranks here to show their moral superiority (I have been playing catch up, reading the other threads). All in all the McCain/Palin ‘base’ is doing a pretty good job swatting down the Trolls...

If you had a child who had become pregnant, and decided to go public, it would show your honesty.
I wouldn’t expect you to make such an announcement, though, unless the media was going to try to hang you for it.
Because it is something that should be dealt with, in the family, by the family.
The fact that the MSM smears just about any slight imperfection in a public figure all over the news, is just because they have to sell laundry detergent.

But it IS her fault. She is the one who had sex without being married. Your statements about morality make no sense at all except in the context of Bristol -- her MOTHER certainly did not sin.
And since Palin did not LIE about this, she was never dishonest. You have yet to explain why this particular fact about her daughter had special relevance and therefore needed to be disclosed.
What I want to know is why the SPELL CHECKER doesn’t work for ‘some people’?
Or do they never look at the screen (PREVIEW) to see what they typed?
And, can they not spell things correctly, or are they just so jittery from crack cocaine that they hit enter before they can proofread?
BTW, I agree with you on one point. While I don’t fault them, from a POLITICAL perspective I think McCain and Palin could have seen this would be an issue, and could have discussed with the daughter to have this exposed last week before they announced.

I was referring to R-2nd’s spelling of abuse as ABUUSE.
I have noticed that a lot of trolls constantly mis-spell the simplest words.
I can tell those who aren’t English/American born from those who have English as a secondary language, and don’t make remarks to them.
USUALLY, I can tell. In your case, I hadn’t noticed you having any trouble with it, and hadn’t noticed you making any mistakes.
SOME of them are getting paid to pose as ‘conservatives’. DU swats their trolls (our heroes) much sooner than FR. These trolls think that their posts are nuanced and intellectual enough to pose as outraged conservatives. Yet they are dead wrong once again, because they don't value life. They don't get why we support this young woman's decision in the end, because she knows that this is a human being, not some inconvenience.
Those on the Left, are swayed by embarrassment, unfortunate timing and selfishness, resulting in their decision to kill a human life.
Why does the government allow one Doctor the right to fight for a premature babies life in one operating room, while at the same time, another Doctor is legally allowed by the government to kill that same aged premature baby in another operating room? Yet, if that premature baby lives that the Dr was trying to save and the Mother were to suffocate the premature baby, she would be hauled off to prison.
These trolls are so far removed from the meaning of Life...it's as if they think Christian Churches all over America are throwing stones at Christian teenagers who admittedly make a wrong choice regarding premarital sex. Dr Dobson’s statement is exactly how the Right is responding.
Those who are outraged and posting their outrage for hours at a time on FR will always have their motives questioned. They are trying to give a false impression that McCain's support is declining because of this, which isn't reality.
There’s no way this could have been done before the announcement of her as a VP. That would have completely destroyed her as VP choice before she ever got off the ground. And it would have been ridiculous to announce it the day of the VP announcement.
As a matter of fact, they raised this before it even became an issue. Remember, the issue was that the trolls said that Bristol was Trig’s mother.
So, they did announce her pregnancy beforehand!
The controversy was started on a totally different and untruthful rumor!
That said...here is my way of finding a troll...1. Move your cursor over their name to see the sign up date; 2. Go to their homepage (even if they didn't build one) it still has their 'Find In Forum' trail. This is invaluable. You can see if someone 'posts and runs' or just doesn't have a life and posts 24/7...thats when I decide if I am going to 'vent.' Sometimes, I find some post outrageous statements just for the all the pings they get back in return...kind of a political 'Sleepless in Seattle.'
Now if they really are paying for commentors on the web...then somebody, someplace owes me bigtime.
