“Trig,” with one “g.” It seems to be short for “Trigve,” pre-shortened, like naming a child “Nellie” instead of “Helen” or “Ellen.”

Trig is named after his great uncle. The name is Norse for brave victory.

Paxson is a place in Alaska that is important to Sarah and Todd.

Van was given to him because Todd & Sarah loved Van Halen and Palin rhymes with Halen. Van Palin, get it?

I love the meaning of the name Trig. So warm and perfect for the little guy. :)
