McCain Shows He Is the Genuine Article

By: Ronald Kessler

ST. PAUL, Minn. — As the Republican National Convention opens here, one thing has become clear: John McCain is both a master politician and genuine.

In choosing Sarah Palin as his running mate, McCain wooed women voters to his side, lent sparkle to his own persona, and created excitement and media buzz about his candidacy. In selecting a vice presidential candidate with impeccable conservative credentials, he energized conservatives who were lukewarm about his run and now say they will work for him.

As Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform, tells me, the choice of Palin was a “brilliant move.” He adds, “Surprising decisions are rarely wise decisions. This was both. A solid Reagan Republican. Good on taxes, spending, reform, guns, traditional values. A tax cutting mayor, governor. The Republican party is doing the right thing to get its brand back.”

Part of Governor Palin's duties as vice president should be party building. Time to smack that smug look off Democrat's faces.

Time to smack that smug look off Democrat's Obama's ("We're-the-one's-we've-been-waiting-for") face.

I am eating crow. I take back (gladly) everything I said negative about McCain. He has really risen to the occasion.
Amazing!

But McCain is still a pro-illegal, Soros-funded, global warming extemist, judge-blocking liberal. And Palin is not the Presidential candidate, only VP

A vote for McCain is still a vote for a liberal

Thank you. And may I add?.....The Face Of Republican Corruption! Remember the Keating 5 and then along with Jinjis Kerry, shutting down the committee for recovering the MIA’s and POW’s. I always wondered just what it was he got out of that. Guess now I know.
I was telling my brother and sister-in-law yesterday that I still can’t vote for him because of these reasons. Now if Palin runs in 2012 she’ll more than likely get my vote. But right now a vote for McCain is STILL a vote for McCain and EVERYTHING he stands for. I will vote my conscience this time...hell or high water. Huh...guess that makes ME a maverick.
