ST. PAUL -- The 17-year-old daughter of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is pregnant, Palin said on Monday in an announcement intended to knock down rumors by liberal bloggers that Palin faked her own pregnancy to cover up for her child.

My remark ends with the letters, “LMAO.” Of course I’m not serious.

I would remind you of Jesus' words, "He who is without sin let him cast the first stone."

Just a quibble. There are only three passages contained in the new testament that all scholars of all persuasions are quite certain were not in the original documents. The prostitute being stoned and the above statement are one of those passages. It was added by a Catholic monk hundreds of years after the new testament was written. If you check the footnotes to your bible near that passage, you will probabably find a notation to that effect.

What about Romans 3:23 - "ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"? Makes the same point, doesn't it?

Most people who have replied to me on this thread have taken my remarks out of context. That includes you.

As I’ve stated several times on this thread. I will be voting for McCain. He chose a solid conservative running mate. Not my first choice, but a good choice. I just think many conservatives will not see it that way.

The judgment of both McCain and Palin to go ahead with business as usual, undermines their efforts to be on the winning end of the November election. That is my opinion and its based on understanding the nature of the Democratic Party’s liberal establishment members. I don’t think the liberal media or liberal bloggers will be laying off this storyline anytime soon.

I’m sorry I do not agree with majority of posters. Teen pregnancy is NOT ok. And parents have to bare most of the responsibility. I’m NOT OK with this one little bit. This is another mccain flub-up

Wtf. Freepers giving Palin a pass on her underage daughter's pregnancy? I thought parents were supposed to be responsible for their underage children. What are we coming to!

Talk about double standards. But that's okay, because in November, we'll have a (R) in charge! And people with (R) after their names can do no evil! /sarc

Ann Durham was 17 when she got pregnant, then married the father 3 months later, and the baby was born 6 months after that.

Since Obama Senior was already married to a woman in Kenya, he could not legally be married to Ann. Per here:

Obama grew up in Nyang’oma Kogelo. At 18, he married a young woman named Kezia in a tribal ceremony. They had four children, two of them after he returned to Kenya from the United States. He never divorced Kezia, who now lives in Bracknell, England.
So O Sr came to the US, impregnated Ann, then went back to Africa to have another 2 kids with his first (and in the eyes of US law, only legitimate) wife

Being a responsible teen parent could actually be better for our children than being a 29 year old putz hanging around in bars and texting yer pals and playing Xbox.

I’m not saying kids having kids is the best thing, but Adults being kids is just a shame.

I see them in their 60’s being kids. Witness Code pink

You agree with Obama? Are you insane? You think this subject is off limits? Then I suggest you leave the forum now. And as you leave, ping the Modrators to delete this thread and the nearly 1500 replies. After all, if you and Obama think this subject is off limits, then ....

WOW! I found someone with a real short fuse! If you return to my original comment, what I said was that this is the one & only thing I have ever heard Obama say that I can agree with.

In 1973 I was the male participant in such a teenage dilemma. 35 years later we are still married, still in love and have learned a whole lot about this gift called life that we are each given. So will the young Alaskans.

Take a chill pill!

Teen abortion, though, is worse.

THAT would have been a worse flub-up for McCain/Palin - by far.”

Nobody disagrees with what you say but does that make it OK? Or does it make McCain’s decision a good one?

Selective memory?

You don't remember the girls underage drinking antics?

Not that those incidents should have been covered and dissected, either, as far as I am concerned, I'm merely pointing out lots of times children do things that 'good' parents would have chosen they not do.

You know nothing about me. Jim Robinson gives me the right to state my opinions here. As for getting married, seems they have second thoughts since she is already five months pregnant. Whatever, this election had turned into a circus, and the last thing it needed was this tabloid topic.

Right!

“Prove it”

is a very complicated list of “weak and baseless arguments,” just “fraught with double-standareds.”

By the way, there is no e in standards.
