Sam Paine is no troll. He's been on FR longer than you and he is CORRECT.

To GOP_Party_Animal: it was not a “one time jest”. It was constant and the claims that Chelsea was Webb Hubbells (sp) child were common.

To incredulous joe: Paine isn't painting all FReepers with a broad brush but it our collective site and we bear some responsibility for our past indiscretions. Many here are very willing to take collective credit for the undoing of Dan Rather but shy away from responsibility when we get the facts wrong.

To piytar: You weren't on FR in the days of the Clinton Presidency. You didn't see the wild Y2K crowd predicting the end of civilization on a daily basis here either but trust me...it was common.
