She has helped devise and push through the project for the largest natural gas line in the history of the US...taking on entrenched politicians, lobby groups, and large corporations in the process.
Obama and Biden and their ilk have managed a campaign. The only other thing they run is their mouth.
Did anyone see Obama’s face on 60 Minutes last night for the brief moments he allowed Biden to scat uninterrupted in response to an open-ended question? It was a pre-cringe, waiting for the foot-insertion expression.

I don't remember who the moderator is, but the moderators for all the debates were serious lefties (Jim Lehrer, for one) and they have gotten more brazen about their bias in recent years. They will tailor their questions to embarass the Republicans while coddling the Dems. It will be tough to find an opening. I was disappointed in McCain agreeing to this set of debates. Hopefully, it will work out anyway, but it would be nice just once not to have to overcome a rigged game.

True. I was a reporter in the Mat-Su (the valley which contains Wasilla) when Palin was a city council member, and her husband spoke at the school where I teach last year. When I returned to college to get my teaching certificate, I even delivered pizza to their house (they are good tippers, by the way).
My hope is that Sarah has Joe Biden on toast, lightly sauteed, in a thick sauce of clear logic and rapier insight. I’ve seen her do it up here. She has the same star quality of Obama, with the addition of reflecting the values of most people, consistent values, and a powerful intellect.
This writer seems to understand that. In fact, this could be one of those interesting elections where the running mate overshadows the candidate. Sarah is not to be underestimated. I like the comparison to Lady Thatcher, too. It’s appropriate.
