Did anybody catch this interview of Jimmy Carter at the DNC last week. If a Republican made this statement you would have Jess and Al screaming and playing the race card. Why does Jimmy get a free pass.

I think when Carter used the word “boy” he was thinking of Obama’s boyhood, not intending to call an adult black man “boy” as was the custom for so long where he is from, but he didn’t express himself very well. If a Republican had said this, no one would give him the benefit of the doubt—he’d be flayed alive.
