Alan Colmes has been on a downward spiral for the ages since John McCain introduced Sarah Palin as his presumptive Vice-Presidential nominee.
Fellow NewsBuster Warner Todd Huston caught Colmes scraping bottom at his Liberaland web site last night, as the lefty talker and Sean Hannity piñata asked "Did Palin Take Proper Pre-Natal Care?" in connection with Palin's pregnancy and childbirth earlier this year. Trig Palin was born with Down's Syndrome on April 18.
whiff of sanity appears to have prevailed, as the entry is now empty. Also not present: an apology. (Update, 3:30 p.m. -- Here's Colmes's "apology." You can decide whether it's adequate or simply blame-shifting.)
But apparently Colmes has no problem with this entry he put up on Friday afternoon about the circumstances surrounding Todd and Sarah Palin's wedding (full entry follows; links were in original):

Enough people need to raise the roof at FOX until Colmes is fired. I am sick of him thinking he can say anything and get away with it. He reached my limit when he said Palin’s neglect was the cause of the baby having Down’s. I am going to call, email, and fax FOX on Tuesday when all the big shots are back in the office and I hope others will too. I have just had enough of Colmes- if he was trashing Obama or Biden in the same way he would be history, and everyone knows it- we just need to stand together against these people and not allow them to get away with it.
Colmes’ “apology” and the comments that follow. The first one is anti-Palin but the rest really jump on Colmes.

I could care less if she was pregnant when she got married or not- just not my business- and I can’t imagine that would change anyone’s mind one way or the other. This is just trash talk and needs to stop.
But you'll tell me Obama is the best man for president?!
OK. Let us say that Sarah was pregnant with a child before she was married.
What did she do? Did she abort, offer the child for adoption? In fact, she married Todd and raised this first child and had four others. Are the five children in need of Social Services attention? We know the answer to that one.
God bless Sarah and Todd Palin and their wonderful family!
The anti-family libs are grasping at straws.
He does look like the Cryptkeeper! lol
I think this shows how desperate the liberals are.
They know she could help McCain win 48 or 50 states and they’re grasping at straws.
Oh for Heavens sake, everyone knows the first child doesn't take nine months.
I see Skeletor is up to his old tricks again. He is truly a flatliner.
Who gives a damn what Ferret Face thinks! He is one of the most dishonest scumbags the libs have next to Obermann!
I think Colmes knows the liberals are headed for a big election humiliation.
It's hilarious to see them tsk tsk-ing at things they don't REALLY care about.
Oh yes, he’s married. He’s married to Dr. Jocelyn Crowley, an associate professor in the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, at Rutgers University, and she does women’s studies!
They probably sit down at night and giggle about raising people’s taxes. But here is the kicker. Jocelyn is Monica Crowley’s sister, who often sits in for Sean Hannity.
Now THEY must have an interesting family Thanksgiving dinner.
Alan Colmes is a affrimative action hire at fox. I think he is trying to make his bones on Sarah. Maybe the dems will let him interview Biden but I doubt Soros will allow that. I would suggest Colmes the odds of a 43 woman ahve a child with down syndrome are 1 in 35. Your even hated by liberals, who have interview Obama, Clinton or even Joe Biden,
Tell you what, Alan. I’ll send 100 dollars to Obama/Biden if you’ll tell Sarah Palin’s husband face-to-face that he fathered a bastard child.
This is actually a bit better than the typical lib, "If I offended anyone, I'm sorry."
You got that right. Colmes is unrepentant. He shows he has a lot of class - too bad it is the type you would rather not associate. I would really rather not have these shrill critics as neighbors and certainly not as friends.
I think what they (MSM diptards) are really afraid of is not necessarily that Palin could not step in if McCain could not continue and or finish his term. I think they see the groundswell of support for this hot outsider that electrifies the GOP base and because of her age could be the female Reagan for the 21st century. Only time will tell but I think Palin could be a serious contender. A successful term as VP and a one term McCain could position her pretty well.
You got that right.
