I considered the same thing and wish it was possible, but I believe the "mistake" that was made referring to the baby as a daughter instead of a son was done deliberately to protect against legal consequences. Also, I believe MM was just providing a link to the story from another blog so he has two possible loopholes to slither through.

These “sear tactics” have negative effects on the user because the tale tells many of those who might believe it that Mrs. Palin truly has a good heart. It is sort of the highest com,pliment that one could pay to a mother that she might do something like that. Moore is throwing peaches and cream and halos and thinks it is mud. He would castigate someone for saving the life of a drowning child and he seems not to understand that people in the real world don’t have that perspective.
It’s the pregnancy angle, plus the baby is seriously handicapped. There’s more than likely a very lucrative “conspiracy to violate the civil rights” law suit in this anyway.
This "pile of lard" is helping the Republicans case by casting the Palins as a truly selfless couple. It is not true. It can only help the Republican case if people believe it might be true. "Oh wow, could I do that for my daughter? for my grandson?" and it helps Palin's cause for people to hear leftists making that particular case. It says loads about liberal sensibilities and conscience.
Hey, Todd, let’s have a family picture taken. Since Bristol is pregnant, lets put her on the end where everyone can see her cute bulging tummy. Lets make sure it shows in all the pictures she’s in!

It is amazing that Hussein et al are "planting" invented tales of what could only be the Republican nominee's quiet heroism and sacrifice and they think it is an effective smear job. It shows these people are totally in a fantasy world.
