Just an observation, but Obama doesnt seem to have that many politicians speaking for him as Kerry did in 04. Pelosi and Reid most probably prefer him to lose, as they will retain their control and power without having to be accountable for it.

The silence regarding Palin from most of the Republican Senators is interesting too. The gang of 10, Graham, Chambliss, Dole and the rest of the spinelessones have just been sent to the sidelines.
That goes in spades for the Hildebeest. If he loses, she'll be the logical 'Rat standard bearer in 2012. The only problem, of course, is she'll face either a still-vigorous McCain or an heir-apparent (or incumbent President!) Palin.
Well, in all fariness, with a 9% approval rating, I don't believe Obama would want Pelosi or Reid to speak out for him. She'd only drag him down further.
