You have stated your case. And without being an a*shole about it. So, thank you.

“I am writing her (Palin) in for PRESIDENT this year.
McCain deserves nothing from me.”
- - -
I hope that was just rhetoric on your part.
Or perhaps you were trying to illistrate a point?
If not, and you are really being “series” (sic);
then you may just as well stay home and do nothing.

I'd be surprised if he lasted two years in office before either resigning or being impeached.

Or that third possibility that no-one wants to talk about.

Do you eat yogurt with onions in it?

I don’t eat yogurt.
But I love onions.

I supported Mitt Romney in the primaries. Once McCain clinched the nomination, my hope became that McCain would choose Romney as a running mate. Either way, I would have voted for McCain over the Obama/Biden ticket even if McCain did the unpardonable sin of choosing another liberal Republican (or Independent such as Lieberman) to run with him.

But now that a genuine conservative has been tapped for the VP slot, I can now enthusiastically support the ticket as opposed to voting for "lesser of the two evils."

I couldn't agree more:

They nominated the wrong candidate.

His biggest mistake was picking Sen. Joseph Biden as his vice-presidential running mate.

The other problem Mr. Obama faces is his radical, leftist past - a past his campaign and a compliant media are desperately trying to conceal.

Mr. McCain will win - and win big - in November.

Let’s not get over-confident.
Obama has tremendous power and money behind him. It’s obvious that he has been trained and groomed for the presidency for many, many years. They are not about to lose this election without a horrific fight.

And you can take it to the bank; every black church, every black organization, every Muslim Mosque, every Muslim organization in every town and city across this country will get their people to the polls- even bus ‘em in.
Every person who stays home, votes third party or ‘write in’ in helping to put Barack Hussein Obama into the White House.
McCain is the only thing standing in his way.
We must vote, and get out the vote. Expose this Muslim/Marxist fraud to all your contacts.
Hit the forums. Hit the newspapers EVERY DAY.

Thanks for the ping. Comments BUMP! Interesting thread. About 65 days out now from the election. A state of heightened-alert for all FReedom-loving people is in order (not that isn’t in order every day). This one is going to be very interesting.

A fair piece of journalism there. Time will tell.

I am, of course an extremely interested observer only. No point without citizenship in plunging in. What I am able to say, is that in remembering the hatchet job on Barry Goldwater many years ago, this has to be the worst coverage on a presidential election. Such concentrated and unashamed bias, whether unconscious or deliberate, might not be known to me.

The big second honcho in Canadian television next to tax payer subsidised CBC is the CTV. I have to relate this tidbit. One Tom Clark, leonine head and youthful looks was in Denver for the convention. He was asked by the anchor in Canada this. Roughly, what does Michelle Obama have to do tonight when she addresses the convention?. Clark said that she has to show, how she is a good person. She has to exude American values. These are not his actual words, but that is the gist of it. Then Clark said, she has to show:

As they say, not Islamic terrorists.

I was amused or stunned a little. Who, apart from possibly, some remote vitriolic blogger, suggested for one iota, that Barry and Michelle are "Islamic Terrorists?".

I now go back to liberal spouse's choice of television- Eleanor Clift. Not the "gentle and gracious lady", epitomised by courtly politicians, addressing a woman colleague on the opposite side.

I’ve said it before, “What did nobama find out about hillary that she doesn’t want us to know?” Seems every election he has entered, he’s let something untoward leak out about his opponent, allowing himself to be the only one running in the primary. He’s done the same thing to hillary. At his convention, he was NOT nominated, he was crowned, king of the democrats. He’s like a cowbird.

As for Zebra’s comment, it all depends on “how big’ the gap is when the elections finally come to a stop. Yes, it will come down to the electoral college but in regards to the Senate seats etc, it’s a toss up.

here’s the last count: McCain 274 Obama 264

the dead people vote

The dead people vote, that's what concerns me.

My grandfather has been dead since 1939 and he still votes in Cook County!

To self (slap on the wrist). Re "Islamic Terrrorists" and politically important couple.

Clark must have meant the New Yorker cartoon. Also I should have clarified that the bias in favour of that same couple is absolutely incredible.

I love my country more than I like Obama and McCain. If there is a viable option, I will take it.

Thanks for your input!
