Wait a minute. Didn’t Ray Nagin stay in New Orleans during Katrina? I thought he was stranded on the 27th floor of a downtown building with his emergency team and his cell phone? And he called Bush and told him to get his “ass” down to New Orleans because he needed reinforcements?

Anyway, let’s hope and pray that the worst doesn’t happen. Can New Orleans survive a direct hit from a category 4 or 5 hurricane? Even though they said the levees have been reinforced, wouldn’t the wind damage cause mass destruction? Remember last time, Katrina veered off at the last minute so wind damage in N.O. was minimal. It was the flooding that caused the mass destruction. Combining the winds and new flooding, will there be anything left?

It’s a frightening thought.
