As a result of yesterday's stunning news about Sarah Palin, the next Vice President of the United States, many Freepers have decided to contribute to the McCain campaign.
TODAY is the LAST day that you can contribute to the McCain campaign. Tomorrow, public financing (ugh!) kicks in and they cannot accept donations any more.
If you want to participate, do it TODAY.
TOPICS: Breaking News; Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS: campaigndonations; donation; election; electionpresident; fundraising; gop; john; mccain; mccainpalin; palin

I think McCain has shown in a way with Palin the kind of picks he will make for the judiciary. Exactly, and that's why I got up off my wallet.

I love your graphics too!
Isn't it fun to actually be happy about something during this election? I'm really glad he picked her! :o)

I have never been this excited over an election and am stunned that it happened so fast.

I did yesterday and ordered my McCain-Palin Gear!
I’ve never contributed directly to a candidate nor purchased Gear of a Campaign before.

Thanks for the reminder thread. We pooled our resources and kicked in a few $$. After the donation was completed, the McCain site then led me to a vignette about a Democrat Virginia small business owner turned Republican who is to speak at the RNC Convention.

I just donated and put Sarah Palin's name in the referral box. This after mailing McCain's plea for money back to him two months ago, marked up with big red Sharpie reading "not another dime! When you become a conservative I will become a donor".
Hey..it's a start.

Search engines have been slowed up by people searching Sarah. They're wild about her.
Got you a new bumper sticker -

Dear Norman Bates,
Thanks for the ping!
I already contributed what I could afford today, on-line.
I will try to contribute more to the victory fund next month. In the field for “referred by,” like many, I wrote in “Gov. Sarah Palin.”
With the selection of Gov. Palin, I am ABSOLUTELY ON BOARD THE STRAIGHT TALK EXPRESS!! I may even put up a yard sign (never did that before).
Thanks,

You couldn’t put it on your car?
Besides the state of elation, what State are you talking about?

Nope, didn’t make that one. I forgot where I got it, too. You might check www.cafepress.com. Got a number there yesterday and thought I’d noted origins but things were going wicked fast yesterday.

I still have a Dubya sticker on my car in MA with no trouble.
Anyway, I beginning to think that Sarah’s going to win in a landslide, meaning most voters will want that sticker. WOOHOO!
