Can’t disagree more. It would compromise the integrity of this website completely. It would put us in a position that criticism of McCain would be intolerable. Only the party line is tolerated, no dissent. That would be wrong.
Nope, sorry i dont feel that way. Majority rules, and right now the majority of FR wants John McCain, liberal agenda as President and liberal, bipartisan voting record and advisors to the contrary, because the sentiment is Republican Party-First, so I am just saying, “officialize it”. If people are going to drop their independent conservatism, then the site that represents their thoughts should be in line and not a contradiction, and in that sense it only logically follows that we become an established adjunct of the Republican Party to fight the big bad evil wolf of Obama. They will even fund us, heck. WE MUST BE HONEST ABOUT WHERE WE ARE HEADING.
I find many on FR these days who would say that integrity can be sacrificed, so long as we win the never-ending "War on Terror."
It would put us in a position that criticism of McCain would be intolerable. Only the party line is tolerated, no dissent.
No worries; be patient, we will get there shortly.
Example:
To state that any vote McCain made is the senate eclipses his performance as a prisoner of war in Vietnam is to vomit liberalism. EXACTLY what Oboobie would say about McCain. Verbatim.

I think we're pretty much there, marshal.
It's as bad as the recall threads if you simply post a quote from the man's own mouth.
American in Tokyo is just being absurd. Principled opposition to specific McCain positions will always be part of FR. AIT is just annoyed that McCain actually did sometihg to further conservatism by putting Sarah Palin forward. Some folks just have to look a gift horse in the mouth.
