Is McCain Throwing The Election? (By Michael Savage)
michaelsavage.com ^ | August 29, 2008 | Michael Savage (Michael Alan Wiener)

Posted on 08/29/2008 5:56:41 PM PDT by Checkers

McCain has thrown the election. It is clear now with his choice for Vice President that he has no desire to win in November. Why else would he chose an inexperienced woman, whose only apparent qualification is that she won a beauty pageant in the 1980s? Why else would he refuse to say Barack Hussein Obama’s middle name? Why else would he run an ad praising Obama and congratulating him for winning the nomination?

If McCain had chosen Mitt Romney, a man with real leadership ability, real charisma, and real experience, he might have stood a chance. He could have made up for his lack of energy in confronting his opponent, his useless pandering to liberals, and his refusal to expose Obama’s leftism and inexperience. Instead he trumped inexperience with more inexperience. Obama, for all his far-left socialism, picked a running mate who is perceived as giving the ticket more experience. McCain, in defiance of all logic, undermined his strong suit by selecting a political neophyte who waters down his key advantage over Obama.

Of course, I can hear the calls already. Mike, you should give her a chance, she’s a real conservative. Mike, he’s just doing this because he knows he has to pander to win. Mike, isn’t it great that he picked a woman. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Picking someone because of their sex instead of their ability is the same kind of affirmative action insanity that the Democrats have shoved down our throats. We don’t want a panderer, we want a president. If he had chosen a woman who was a real nationalist with a real resume, I would have said, “Right on, John.” But McCain has dropped the ball, thrown in the towel, and raised the white flag. And a generation of Americans will pay for his

One thing we can learn about the McCain Campaign, is that it does not respond to the"fog" of war.

When it does move, it will not be in response to the criticism of the se sullied sick Obama media advisors.

Sarah Palin will be doing things that will put her into the news, and the media , not being able to stay away, will unsuccessfully try to trap her, and then the media will become desperate and mean. This will show American everything it needs to know. Sarah has been dealing with the media for a long time, and she is tough, like Ann Coulter tough.

Anyone who wants to know about Palins achievements only has to go to Wikipedia to see them.

So we need not worry over much. Obama has real scandals that have been supressed by the media, and they all have legs. If McCain has to, he will use them, attack, attack, attack.

Let the media frenzy of defamation of Srah continue,Republicans will not be swayed by it. The reason the media is so aggressive in decrying Sarah is that they are fighting to keep the women votes they have, and that is a losing battle.

The media is ALREADY fighting a losing battle and they do not even realize it.

Dude, they kept the timing of this secret to blow the O's big speech completely off the new media radar. It was not a long drawn out decision, it was a carefully planned, flawlessly executed strategic campaign move. It will go in the record books. What ever you think of McCain politically, you got to admire his campaigns discipline and sense of timing to keep this dead secret until late Friday morning.

He just won the Olympic gold medal in it, IMO. He seriously plays on some stereotypes with these neurotic mental decompressions.

I was under the impression Savage has some ecofascist tendencies. Is he bummed that a huntress who is threatening the precious caribou and ANWR is on the ticket? IIRC, he is an animal "rights" extremist. Or maybe because she is not a rabid homophobe like Mr. Weiner? I mean, she is impure! She does not support gay marriage, but isn't a 100%er. Wiener has to prove how not-gay he is...constantly...for some reason...

Seriously, Palin is the most conservative person placed on the top ticket since Ronald Reagan. She is running against two parasite lawyers, one with almost no experience and one who is a career politician (both having exactly zero executive experience).

Not really...he kept on bringing up the fact that when women were given the vote that was the beginning of the welfare state. And he is correct! It really doesn't matter...The Palin gambit has failed!

Size Matters!

First Obama still leads McCain with white women...and will continue to lead right up to the time he is elected. The reason is that he is thought to be "well hung". Seriously, this is what women are saying in the back channels. They also look upon Palin as a token and say regrettably that once again the boys have beaten the girls by putting Obama over Hillary. But since they can't withhold their hormonal urges...they'll put power aside for a while and take Obama. After all they not only be getting back into the White House a "well hung" President as Bill Clinton was (see Rush's Soccer Mom's ...this was the real emphasis behind what he was saying back then and Monica Lewinsky sure proved him correct), but we'll also be protecting ourselves from unwanted pregnancies because Obama is Pro-Choice (sic Abortion). No McCain really made a big mistake with Pallin...she looks good on paper and sounds even better, but we needed a stud muffin to beat Obama and that's why we should, and still could, go with Romney. Additionally, to being a hunk...he also has tremendous financial assets which we could've used right now to get the message out about how radical Obama really is. Instead with Palin we've only been able to raise a measly $7 million. We're screwed...really screwed as they say in South Park. Our only hope is that Obama or more likely Biden makes a major faux pas during the debates so all of America can see that they're really two headed purple people eaters from the Orelian Galaxy taking the form of Human beings. In the alternative the folks in Virginia, Nevada, or Colorado could wake up and realize the same fact and Obama would loose by the slimmest of margins. Strangely, according to Rasmussen, the Republicans seem to be doing a little better in the Senatorial races...at least they seem to be holding their own. So even if Obama wins, he may not have the votes necessary in the Senate to get anything really major done. Lets hope that Mitch McConnell blocks his judicial appointments just like Reid and Daschle did Bush's. As you now see from the Sunday shows...there is no interview of Palin...and there never will be until they're ready to launch with some scandal of some nature. They're game plan is to ignore her during the entire race...she wasn't even on Fox News Sunday which had McCain...as they did with Dan Quayle until the famous debate with Lloyd (you're not like JFK I knew JFK) Bentsen. Notice also how School Bus Ray Nagin is leading the charge on the Gustav front even though all his power has been taken away from Presidential and Gubernatorial edicts more powerful than his news conference pronouncing Gustave the Mother of All Storms...how can a storm named Gustave become the "mother" of anything??? But it don't matter...the Republican Governor Gindal is doing the necessary work along with Chertov who, contrary to media reports, is already, and has been since Friday, on the ground in Louisianna. In the end Nagin will be protraited by the media to be the savior in this matter...their reasoning is simple if they resurrect him from his incompetency in Katryna they make Obama out to be a competent administrator instead of the boob that he is. They have to convince the American people that they don't have to fear an Obama Nation...Obama himself spent half of his speech telling people not to judge him by his previous associations with William Ayers, Reverend Wright, and Fr. Plager...no judge him by his message and by what he proposes for America...more good liberal programs in which you'll be taken care of...yes, as those of us who have sought aid from Social Security know, you sure will be taken care of!

I am in agreement that Michael is dead wrong on Palin being the wrong VP pick, but you are incorrect to say that Michael says that children with autism are faking it. If you were to verify that, and check your facts you’d see that his summation of autistic children wasn’t as simplistic as your comment—and that his comments regarding autism is more directed at the pharmaceutical industry that is so quick to medicate and diagnose—thereby endangering children.

I am in agreement that Michael is dead wrong on Palin being the wrong VP pick, but Michael’s comments regarding autism is more directed at the pharmaceutical industry being too quick to medicate and diagnose—thereby endangering children who may not actually be autistic. The same is true for the rampant diagnosing and medicating of children who are thought to have ADD/ADHD.
I do think you’re right about Michael about one thing. He does have feelings of grandeur because he actually IS discussing making a movie about himself.

You're right on this one - it's one for the record books. And she's grrrreat. I had no idea McCain ( of all people ) would pick a conservative. Life is good!

Look - I was wrong.

I just assumed that if McCain picked a woman she was probably a liberal.

When I'm wrong, I'm reeeeaaaaly wrong. Anyhow, I'm on-board. And happy and stunned that McCain (of all people) would pick a conservative.

Life is good!

Savage screwed the pooch, literally!

Anyone seeing this as just an affirmative action pick is off their meds.

If Palin had all the same credentials and were a man, it would still be a good pick. And would we get the same patronizing ‘can she handle it?’ remarks if the recent governor Jindhal was the pick?

It would compromise the integrity of this website completely.

I find many on FR these days who would say that integrity can be sacrificed, so long as we win the never-ending "War on Terror."

It would put us in a position that criticism of McCain would be intolerable. Only the party line is tolerated, no dissent.

No worries; be patient, we will get there shortly.

Example:

To state that any vote McCain made is the senate eclipses his performance as a prisoner of war in Vietnam is to vomit liberalism. EXACTLY what Oboobie would say about McCain. Verbatim.
