Alexandria, VA, Aug 29, 2008 / 06:15 pm (CNA).- This morning Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska was selected by Sen. John McCain to serve as his vice presidential nominee. Palin brings with her several unique credentials, but one of the most notable is that she is a proud member of Feminists for Life, according to the groups president Serrin Foster.
In an interview with CNA on Friday, Foster explained that her group normally doesnt disclose its membership, but since Gov. Palin freely spoke about it to the Anchorage Daily News in August of 2006, she could confirm that Palin joined in 2006.
Sarah Palin also revealed in the same article that she has adamantly supported the pro-life cause since I first understood, as a child, the atrocity of abortion.

Good for them. I predict their numbers will grow. I can well imagine how they feel.
There is a “Feminists for Life” org? Wow. I would consider myself a ‘feminist’ to a certain extent that I think women can be just as good as men in alot of jobs, but I am pro-life. I might need to check into this outfit.

And she puts her money where her mouth is, she gave birth to a Down’s syndrome baby. Gonna be real hard to tag her with a “no compassion for the hard decision millions of women have to make.”
There can’t be too very many of them ... can there?
The woman who starred in Star Trek Voyager is a Member as well as the wife in everyone loves raymond.
They’ve been around for a while. I’m sure there’s enough of them. The actress on Everybody Loves Raymond, Patricia Heaton is one.
I recall the organization existed in my college days, and learned about them from my college pro-life group. Apparently they began in 1972. Interestingly, there is also and organization known as the Pro-Life Alliance of Gays and Lesbians.
Not only is there “feminists for life” but there’s also an organization called “consistent life” This group has a wider focus than FFL. They define pro-life to include being against war and capital punishment as well as abortion. Certainly this wouldn’t include Sarah Palin.
