ABC's Sara Just reports: The first interview with the Republican ticket of John McCain and Sarah Palin went to People Magazine, which today published its interview just hours after the surprise announcement was made. People also snagged the first interview earlier this week wtih the Democratic ticketmates, Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
People asked Palin whether she is ready to be only a heartbeat from the presidency, given her limited experience in politics. The 44 year-old Alaskan governor replied, "Absolutely. Yup, yup. Especially with a good team around us.
Palin talked about her role as only the second woman ever named to a major party ticket, and the potential appeal to voters who supported Democrat Hillary Clinton during the primary race.

Folks, John McCain kept his faith with us. Let’s show him that loyalty is a two-way street.
Go online and donate to the McCain Palin pro-life ticket:
In the box where it asks who referred you, write “Sarah Palin”.
I seriously doubt she said "Yup, yup".
Oh my! The MSM excited to get to interview McCain/Palin! Poor Obama... he’ll just have to put his Marxism on hold as he drifts into the dust bin of history.
I wonder if the punks at Sheeple Mag asked Obama why he thinks he is experienced to be closer than a heartbeat to POTUS?
Drat! I left that blank earlier today. Then again, they have to know from the time the reason why.
Hey, RNC!!! Take good note of what adding a conservative to the ticket does.
LOL
“”In the box where it asks who referred you, write Sarah Palin.””
Done. I am still smiling.
I understand, but this is a good article if you read it all.
People magazine? Doesn’t this put the kibosh on the whole “Obama’s a celebrity” song?
Today I made my first visit to McCain’s website, and I signed up as a volunteer.
Oh man, wish I saw this before I donated online today!
I can't wait to hear the numbers on donations received today alone. Hopefully someone around here will post the results in a thread. They must be overwhelmed with donations today.
Great suggestion! I did that just now.
I can’t believe I just donated $500 to John McCain for President.
Why?
Two words: Sarah Palin.
I just donated please freepers go and donate even if it's only $25
Let’s see Palin runs the largest state by area and Obama ran a non-profit and a committee? huuuummmmm who’s got experience?”
Nobama also recommended Reszko to get $14 million in redevelopment funds which never produced the expected results for the rehabbing of the buildings for low income, “poor” folks.
Now Reszko is facing prison for 16 counts of felony charges. Same Reszko that Nobama bought property from.
Birds of a feather.......
And please email everyone you know and sent them this link and ask them to donate:
http://www.johnmccain.com/
If you were previously lukewarm on McCain then your email telling them you have donated and asking them to do the same will have ten times as much impact.
Awesome! Now email all your friends. Tell them how much you donated and send them the link and ask them to do the same. If you were previously not sure about McCain, your email is going to have 10 times as much impact. Please do it tonight!!!
