Savage is unbelievably ignorant on Sarah Palin.

How does a nationally syndicated host allow himself to be so uninformed? And this is not the first time.

Do your homework, Mike. You will eat your words on this.

Yup, Savage is mistaken here. His opinion of her name recognition is faulty since politically aware people like those who frequent these threads are well aware who she is and what her track record is. She is an asset to the ticket.

Well, she won’t bring in any liberal votes.

Savage is already backing off a little.

He's figuring out he's way behind on this.

What the hell did he do all day, go restaurant hopping?

What new voters will Palin bring in? Pro-choice women voting for an anti-choice woman? I find that hard to fathom. The only voters that this will bring in it seems are conservatives who weren't quite onboard with McCain yet.

As far as her qualifications for Commander-In-Chief, I'm with Savage I don't see where she qualifies to become the leader of the free world, if McCain should croak within 6 months of being elected.

I stopped listening. He sounds like an ignorant cranky old man.

Can’t believe he missed this one.

This was a brilliant pick. Palin is not only an outsider to D.C. but she has a proven track record as a reform minded executive who is not afraid to take on the status quo that Savage hates so much.

RE: "Personally I think she's an asset"

I agree.

There's only one way that Savage can be right about the "unknown" governor. That is if the Rat Party (formerly the traditional, patriotic Democratic Party) and their people in the MSM are permitted to determine all the issues that the apolitical majority hear.

Savage says that she's unknown. Not to the majority of conservatives. We have not been occupied for months writing stories about our early years. Every other talk show host I listen to have spoken well of Gov. Palin.

Romney would have been a excellent choice but I've heard that the Obama N' Biden campaign was all set to air all the disparaging comments Romney and McCain made against each other during the primaries.

BTW, if Savage starts calling her names.. that's it for me.

She will bring in women voters (independents and libs) just because she is a woman. As far as her experience, she is not a DC insider which is positive, and she has a conservative track record on the experience she does have. Its not the total years in office but what she did while in office that counts. She supports the conservative cause.

Okay tell me how she is qualified to be Commander-In-Chief of the free world.

I think Savage’s pessimism is getting the better of him. She’s solidly conservative, and as mentioned not a DC insider. Big plusses, and in the next few months with media exposure, she will be well known.

“Okay tell me how she is qualified to be Commander-In-Chief of the free world.”

It take character to be CIC. Sarah Palin has Character. Let the generals be generals. The CIC need not be a career military man.

Obama is not qualified because of his lack of character, not because he's not a general.

One of the few times I’ll disagree with you and the Doc. Romneycare in Massachusetts is a deal killer as far as VP.

Romney has flipped and flopped too many times.

I'm as much a political junkie as the next guy and I have never heard of this woman until now, she may be a conservative and thats all that counts it seems to desperate conservatives but I can accept the 'truth' that she is a lightweight when it comes to Washington D.C. politics, much less entering the stage of world affairs as she is about to do.

As for calling her names , well you might as well leave the nation now, you know it'll be just a matter of time if she doesn't measure up to the Savage standard for being in the White House.

“Okay tell me how she is qualified to be Commander-In-Chief of the free world.”

Based on his resume, would you say Wesley Clark would be a good CIC? Of course, you would, but he would not be a good CIC.

Biden forced on Obama ticket.

Even before the Convention, there were signs that Obama’s campaign was light and in trouble. It isn’t surprising that the real politicial powers (those behind the candidates) would push for someone with more political history.
