If McCain hoped to stop Democrats from getting much mileage out of the oil issue in this presidential election, he picked the wrong vice presidential candidate.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, comes from a state whose lifeblood is oil.

The liberals seem to have an unnatural hatred of the oil industry.

If oil was abundant in the NE United States, would the liberals still hate the oil industry? I think not, I think that the idea of Southerners, among others, having oil money and not having to bow down to the New England elites just drives them crazy.

Yes, because common sense just won't sell.

Bwahaha!

I wasn’t necessarily in favor but it wasn’t really a windfall type tax like Obama is proposing for no reason. It was after the VECO scandal where the oil industry bribed legislators. It also increased credits for exploration.

I didn't mean to imply he's a redneck (although I can think of much worse things to be). FWIW, I've worked blue collar jobs in Canada's Arctic; so I have some idea what it's like & have nothing but respect for anyone doing similar work. A lot of solid, self assured and classy people work in the Arctic.

Some moonbats have been trying to link Paulin to “big oil” because her husband works for an oil company.

I wasn’t implying you did. I was implying Dims tend to stereotype conservative blue collar workers, but they can’t him.

Drill oil, and grease the pipes with oil soaked polar bear pelts.

It was a Hugo-Chavez like money grab. Government helping itself to the honest, hard-earned profits of the 401K plans of thousands of shareholders across America should not be tolerated. She’s a thug.

There are legislators in PRISON for taking bribes from VECO. They’re the “thugs.”

Governor Palin simply has an advanced case of common sense on these two issues. I’m quite sure most Americans are right there with her.

Something like 70% of Americans are for drilling for domestic oil, and the more people look into the polar bear issue the more they’re going to see the threatened status is an outright hoax.

Palin was a brilliant pick and the Dems are most definitely on the defensive. Can’t wait for the debates!

“Liberal, meet polar bear........who’s the endangered species, now?....”

That’s just a little one. It probably just wants to play! lol
