Other than the fact that Senator McCain should have been praising Fred Thompson’s pick for Veep, I’m happy. I agree 100%. I don't think Fred's health and energy were up to the rigors of the campaign. I wish they were.

Other possible jobs for Fred: chief of staff, Supreme Court justice. I was a Fredhead and would love to seem him somehow involved in a McCain administration, but I suspect he would prefer to go back into show business.
