Yeah, yeah yeah. Typical response from a Slick Willard apologist.

____ is more liberal/slick/pathetic than Willard, so you should totally pick him over an actual conservative.

Thankfully John McCain said no to that charlatan and all of the shameless propaganda from his pushers.

Mark, there is a demographic here in rural Pennsylvania that is very dissatisfied with Obama. They are blue-collar men, parents, 25-50; they fish and hunt and own guns, they’re religious, they might well be union members. They’re NASCAR fans and for the most part they’re pro-life. And they are registered Democrats.

Sarah Palin is a home-run to deep center field for these guys. I daresay there’s a similar rural population in Ohio and Michigan.

For these three states, in this demo, McCain’s choice is genius. Those men don’t just want to vote for Palin, they want to go hunting with her.

Further, they want to have her and her husband over to eat barbecue and watch the race, or maybe double-date down at the VFW dance over some beers.

This AP Yahoo article has some good detail on who she beat up in Alaska:

McCain chooses Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin for V.P.

If Obama had lofted a former mayor of 9,000, a governor with 1.5 years of experience, with no foreign policy experience whatsoever what would we be saying?

Despite the fact that Palin has more executive experience than Obama, this simply reinforces how low the demands of potential voters have come to be.

Palin may have been a great Conservative leader in time, even for the office of the Presidency. She is not ready to be one heartbeat away from CIC at this time, and I see no acknowledgment of this sad crucial fact.

In reaction our team has gone ballistic with their enthusiasm. That tells us the depth of the home team this year. And that’s why I’ve decided to leave the forum until after the election. Watching two teams whose backers haven’t got clue one is nothing if not painful.

Take care, Doughty. I’m giving Palin the benefit of the doubt. She did well enough in her introductory speech. I guess I have to say that McCain is the pick & let’s hope his health holds out so that Palin gets her experience.

Obama is just too ridiculous to contemplate.

Understood. I was wondering whether a McCain supporter would flame me for asking a question about Palin, but none have.

In advance, I would like to welcome you back to the FR forums when you are ready.

I'd be saying that his VP had more executive experience than Obama but it wouldn't matter anyway since I don't support liberals.

But I do support conservatives and I'm damn sick and tired odf supporting the next Republican in line because he has been experiencing DC for 30 years.

I'm 57 years old and I couldn't be more excited if Sarah Palin was my daughter. She is a young, dynamic conservative who holds true everything I hold dear not the least of which are unborn babies, family, America and yes those evil guns.

And I say it is long past time that I have somebody to support who holds all those things dearly and walks the talk.

Did conservative DICK CHENEY as Vice President have ANY sway over George Bush's patently Open Border and Amnesty policies over the last seven years?

How many illegals came during that time? How many Americans killed by illegal aliens? How many billions in taxes paid to support them through social welfare and health services?

Well, there is your answer.

The past is prologue.

1) Bush did not die during his 2 terms, but we don’t know how long McCain will last. Having an anti-amnesty VP candidate (and I don’t know if Palin is currently anti-amnesty) could be a lot more meaningful for McC than Bush.

2) I really don’t know if Cheney has any difference of opinion WRT amnesty from Bush.

I would not worry too much about Biden. Biden is a wind bag bully and only does well in a one-way setting where he gets to do all the talking and intimidating.

Exactly. If Roberts, Alito, Bork and Thomas had been able to debate the old scumbag, he still wouldn't have recovered. He won't do so well when he can't sit there and hurl sarcastic insults and putdowns at will.

Is McCain changing his campaign slogan from “Lesser of two evils” to “Hopefully dead soon?”

I guess that’s a rhetorical question, but just in case, I am not speaking for McCain. About anything.
