Al Gore: One of the greatest gifts of our democracy is the opportunity it offers us every four years to change course.
It's not a guarantee; it's only an opportunity.
The question facing us, simply put, is will we seize this opportunity for change?
That's why I came here tonight: to tell you why I feel so strongly that we must seize this opportunity to elect Barack Obama president of the United States of America.
Eight years ago, some said there was not much difference between the nominees of the two major parties and it didn't really matter who became president. Our nation was enjoying peace and prosperity, and some assumed we would continue both, no matter the outcome.
But here we all are in 2008, and I doubt anyone would argue now that election didn't matter.
Take it from me, if it had ended differently, we would not be bogged down in Iraq; we would have pursued bin Laden until we captured him.

But next week, instead of having the GOP speakers try to 'out Tancredo Tancredo' as we saw during the primaries, we will see them trying to 'out Algore Algore'. What a mess.
He left a heck of a carbon footprint. We were not at peace during the sleeping through history 1990s, we were at war but only one side was fighting it.
Algore is a bigger windbag than Joe Biden.
And that’s saying something.
“Eight years ago, some said there was not much difference between the nominees of the two major parties and it didn’t really matter who became president. Our nation was enjoying peace and prosperity, and some assumed we would continue both, no matter the outcome.”
Yeah, and a little thing called 9-11 happened, and the nation was relived that your sorry ass wasn’t president.
“What a crock of poop.”
I took one look at Algore’s face and had to go!
I really do not care what he said or what he ever says!
Man, this night just makes my tummy hurt!
Man, this night just makes my tummy hurt!
Not one word about the fact their lack of attention to security of the nation allowed terrorists to infiltrate our land, set up a network capable of attacking the World Trade Center yet again on 9/11!
How could such a speech fail to take credit failing to carry out the primary duty of the President of the United States--to protect and defend the nation and its people?
He's a proven extremist liar: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2047988/posts?page=8#8

Meanwhile the advance copy of Obama’s speech is out and Keith Obamaman is tinkling in his pants while reading it.
Yippee for me. I watched almost 30 seconds of this before I changed the channel.
Al....you are one goofy SOB....
“”Man, this night just makes my tummy hurt!””
I absolutely refuse to let those people into my living room again tonight. The TV will stay tuned to movies until I go to bed. I didn’t learn a thing by having them on all week -if only for a bit at a time - except that I didn’t want to invite them back.
TRANSCRIPT?...did it start off like this: ah ah errr I mean, aah but, ah ah errr was that, aah err, .....so that BHO could understand him?
Just in case you need a little comic relief......Comedy Central is showing the Al Gore-ManBearPig South Park episode.......”I’m super-serial”
You know, I felt really happy that Bush finally beat Gore....until I saw how sad Albert’s gotten to looking. Then I felt Even Better!
Drudge posted the viewer numbers from last night. CNN leads the way followed closely by the three, little network duckies. FOX was next to last. I’d say that indicates that “Obama Republicans” aren’t paying attention. Obama and his comrades are preaching to the choir.
I wonder if Gore reminded the crowd he was all for sending terrorist suspects to Egypt to be tortured to death?
in fact I believe his quote was it was a no brainer
