I'm confident enough to put this up now, but willing to be wrong.
Right now though, every sign, signal, and background chatter indicates John McCain will pick Tim Pawlenty, Minnesota's governor, as his running mate.
UPDATE: A source close to the campaign now confirms for me that it "more likely than not" is Pawlenty. He does, however, caution me that the campaign does not actually want to leak tonight lest the Obama camp get too much of a chance to play the victim card with a sympathetic media.
Below the fold, I've compiled data on Pawlenty that you might find useful. Protecting the Unborn

How about a VPILF?
I just got an SMS from my usually reliable source, why, he’s right there where it counts, and he says that Paul Enty was promised a Cabinet position if he would play the game today, which he did, but the real nominee will be... well, I can’t say just yet, or my source won’t let me date his former girlfriend, all I can say is that a couple of posters here guessed correctly.
Nice looking couple
She’s a cutie
And SMART...a judge...
A working Mom will go over better with the millions of Moms who have to work...
I could live with Pawlenty. He may not be exciting, but he is not as toxic as the other Veep candidates. On another note, I guess the Mittens will have to pursue other career goals.
I thought it was Rush that was hawking Ruth’s Chris ? From what I can tell about Sean Hannity, he prefers to wrap his mouth around a nice rare Mormon sausage.
That's a hybrid I'm willing to test drive.
That resume’ looks good. Color me impressed.
LOL! I have got to get some rest!!!!
We may have to put some of the Slick Willardbots on suicide watch for tomorrow. Gotta hide the swords and Madame Butterfly records.
Looks like after all the posts etc. we’re both gonna be bummed...
And drain their bubble baths...
They both like the latter a bit too much for my taste, but I stopped listening to Hannity when he was into the NY Italian sausage last year. Not that there’s anything wrong with that...
Maybe once Willard’s hopes are finally dashed, his botnet will stop DDOSing the damn site...it’s been slow as all hell for days.
Must cost them a fortune in BW overages.
We may have all been wasting our collective time trying to save McCain’s sorry butt for the November election. Leave it to him to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
Yeah, what in the blue flock is up with the slowdown ? I have a fast cable connection and I don’t remember using AOL dial-up when it was dragging this bad. If it’s this bad now, Election Night will be a farking fiasco and totally crashed.
From my experiences with my own servers, the traceroutes look like it's under a DOS of some kind, but one can't know definitively from here.
You'd think they'd have blocked it off by now though. Maybe Jim can shed some light.
