Mitt Romney is most qualified to be vice president
Florida Times Union ^ | 27 August 2008 | Nancy Peek McGowan

Posted on 08/28/2008 12:19:59 PM PDT by Terrence DoGood

The Republican Women's Club of Duval, in a straw poll, chose Mitt Romney as the most qualified candidate for vice president for the Republican Party.

In the Florida primary, Northeast Florida voted for Romney by a 3-1 margin over John McCain. Immediately after the poll, President Betsy Young called on me to present a resolution urging McCain to select Romney as his running mate.

Romney possesses a proven fiscal record at Bain Capitol where he made household names of corporate giants - Staples, Domino's and Office Depot. In 2002, at Salt Lake City, Romney rescued the U.S. Olympics from a $379 million deficit and turned a $100 million profit.

LOL! That’s about as believable a picture as seeing Mitt wearing a hunting outfit.

Oh yeah!

And everyone knows McCain and everyone else must do exactly what Nancy Peek McGowan says!

No matter who she is or if anyone ever heard of her.

Sorry, I did not know your earlier sign up date to this website made you more intelligent and your opinions somehow more valid. My mistake.

Please don’t take this as criticism, just an honest take.

“Olympics = neutral.”

Neutral? Turning a program that was far in the red into a $100 million dollar profit is neutral?

“Staples = good.”

Don’t forget Dominos of Office Depot

“Mass. governor = very negative (only a far leftest
could be elected).”

If the only options are to move to the left, and get some of what you want, or die on your sword and get none of what you want but stay pure, I’ll move left. It is pragmatism. You can not change a system from the outside. Had he made such a shift in Texas or South Carolina then yeah, I’d have been unhappy with it too. But in Mass? Not so much.

“Romney-care = bad, total fraud.”

Romney’s healthcare plan adopted free market principles in order to solve a healthcare problem. It is little different than mandated car insurance.

“Bain Capital = bad (Corporate Raiders.”

Bain Capital is responsible for the creation of thousands of jobs and millions of dollars for our economy. It is due to that company that other companies like Dominos and Staples are successes.

See i don’t get that. Anyway. Who do you work for Media matters? I was comparing Biden and Romeny. Someone else compares Clinton, to china. So I take chicoms food over american-stalinist food. Now If I were true to the clinton diet I’d be dead by now or have a by-pass. Then again in stalinist America I won’t have the option of open-heart surgey thanks to universal health care. I’ll be sent to a witch doctor and my post care will be to go on a vision quest in death valley. So leave me alone already, all the stress you’re causing is going to affect my golf game.

The “Republican’s Women’s Club” in Florida should review Mitts record in Mass. The state is now in an additional 193 million in debt thanks to his “free” medical BS. He’s a socialist through and through.

I’m comparing Romney to Clinton because of their relationship with China. See the link at post 4.

Saying “Romney is a conservative” = Saying “Gas prices are DOWN to $3.60 a gallon”.

Romney IS conservative compared to Obama/Biden and Lieberman! What kind of comparison is that!? These women are either A- desperate or B- smitten with Mitts dashing good looks.

China Angles to Buy 3Com

Excerpt:

According to the CIA, Huawei was responsible for the installation of an advanced fiber-optic air defense network in Iraq during Saddam’s brutal rule. The Huawei network, NATO code-named “Tiger Song,” was used to shoot down allied aircraft flying patrol over the Iraqi skies.

The network was installed in violation of an U.N. embargo. Worse still, the air defense network was paid for by the corrupt oil-for-food program which send cash to Huawei that was intended to feed starving Iraqi children.

Despite its history of killing American soldiers — it is Huawei’s teaming with Bain and Goldman Sachs that has enabled the Chinese company to arrange the buyout of 3Com. The Bain/Goldman/Huawei team has influence inside the highest political circles.

When it comes down to it who doesn’t have ties to China? McCain, I’m sure Obama has an sea-side villa paid for by the chicoms somewhere. And china owns so much of our debt right now. Their influence on our economy is immense. The only way to eliminate it is to nationalize our debts, and that type of socialist nonsense is still beyond the democrats. Because they’e bought and paid for by the chicoms.

CFIUS ruled them a national security risk.

And to play with your argument, ‘everyone else is doing it’ /coin doesn’t make it right. It needs to be no for all.

What choice this election do we have? McCain versus Obama. That’s it. With McCain as president, maybe we survive, but Amnesty Juan will probably lead us down the road to damnation. Obama, well, get out the brown shirts. It will be triumph of the will all over again. I’m voting for McCain simply because he might give us a little more time to get things turned around. With Obama as president the metaphoric nuke goes off on Jan. 20th.
