As if a Rocky Mountain coronation were not lofty enough, Barack Obama will aim for Mount Olympus when he accepts his party's nomination atop an enormous, Greek-columned stage - built by the same cheesy set team that put together Britney Spears' last tour...
..."We've done Britney's sets and a whole bunch of rock shows, but this was far more elaborate and complicated and we had to do it in far less time," said Allen, of RDA Entertainment... ...Asked who is harder to sat isfy - the Democrats or Britney - Allen replied: "I better not answer that."

How much does all this cost????
Probably more than the combined total of all McCains homes put together! Yet Obama thinks he has room to criticize? Just renting the field itself has to cost huge bucks!

True...I was not bashing President Bush at all...in fact, I liked it. Obama’s just sorta reminds me of his...of course seeing the picture that you provided (Thank you), it is much less grandiose...lol.

I don’t know....I think they could have added some more STAIRS up to the podium.
There clearly are not enough STAIRS to elevate this blessed being above the common folk.

“Obama is a celebrity just like Britney Spears and exactly as indicated in McCain’s Celebrity commercial.”
Looks like McCain has been absolutely vindicated.

“How much does all this cost???? As Hillary sits engulfed in debt, Im sure shes so happy to see all this.”
Hillary is snickering because she know she would have accepted the nomination in the convention hall with a traditional background.
She is smiling because her political career is not over at the age of 47.

And very purposely patriotic. BHO's has the feel of the very dignified and classically elegant Arlington Nat'l Cemetary columns, and way too grand for this occasion:

This all proves that Obamaniac believes his own hype—he loves the adoration...this will help McCain, the ads are probably already set to go.

I hadn’t made that connection until I read your post.
That is TOO FUNNY!
Obama has been whining about the Britney ad and he has BRITNEY’S STAFF DESIGNING HIS TEMPLE.
And my kids keep telling me politics is boring?
This is great stuff.

Mr. Schmidt will have fun with this.

I was not bashing President Bush at all...in fact, I liked it. Obamas just sorta reminds me of his... I know you weren't. Obama's use of this is just highly presumptuous IMHO. Of course they are trying to project that presidential image. I honestly think that it will either work spectacularly of fail craptacularly...

yes!
I was at Arlington in February.
It was the first thing I thought of.

That is merely a test pattern for the video screen. Deko is probably the company name but I’m just guessing.

Apparently the podium rises out of the stage. I would not put it past Barry to be underneath the stage and rise up with the podium, just like the “rock star” he is. This is hilarious. Barry is SUCH an amateur. Plays right into McCain's hand by having this thing built by Britney's team. After the “celebrity ad and it's apparent success you think he would have learned something. This guy makes my box of rocks look brilliant!

Perfect!
This is going to be THE BEST night of television for the entire summer!
PLEASE GOD let the smoke machines roll while Barry rises up out of the ground!
I’m gonna have to go get some booze for this event.
