Sorry for the vanity. My wife just mentioned the irony as we watched the news and got me to thinking....
almost. it’s Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, and Halliburton.
RUSH: Let me ask you a question, I’m serious about this. This hurricane down there is brewing, and if they’re right, and this is very early, their range of error is 300 miles four and five days out, but the models are starting to coalesce on the Mobile, Alabama, New Orleans area, early Monday morning, two a.m., eight a.m. If this hurricane and a Cat three, Cat four, bears down New Orleans while the Republicans are in St. Paul, I can just see Obama and Biden in New Orleans, sandbags going down and bottled water. What would the Republican Party do, do you think? You know, half the media would decamp St. Paul for New Orleans. Is there anybody that you’ve talked to planning this convention that’s putting together some way to deal with this?
from rush’s website today, lolol....
Actually, you should be thinking about the fact that they could very well be hitting our shores ~during~ the GOP convention.
estimates say shores by sat.
Well, it is hurricane season. The tornados in Denver on the eve on the DNCC, now that’s spooky no doubt. How often does Denver have tornados? I’ve never heard of one there before.
We’re having a whopper of a t’storm right now in the Twin Cities....
What’s that got to say about the RINO’s coming here in a couple of days???
Not according to the National Hurricane Center or Weather Underground.
5-day tracking at NHC has Gustav hitting the coast of Louisiana on Monday. There’s no tracking yet for the storm system they’re watching, but haven’t yet declared a depression.
Either way, nothing’s hitting before the DNC leaves Denver.
What this all says, is that weather is weather, and it happens, and no one can stop it, or start it.
Mother Nature cares not about any political Convention, nor about striking the same place twice.
I read somewhere that they are making the same mistakes in rebuilding the levees as the first time around.
Who is in charge of all the building? Do they think New Orleans is done with Hurricanes or something?
And I completely understand where you’re coming from. My cat went missing yesterday and I prayed God to bring her home.
So I went looking, no luck then went shopping for dinner and the local food store billed the customer in front of me for my entire grocery bill. She was a little old lady retired and broke, I’m not. I could’ve had 125.00 worth of free food but went back in and showed the cashier (who was not happy I pointed it out) that he didn’t close her sale and tacked my food bill onto it. (I wondered why the debit card was accepted without numbers, lol.)
So...I was honest and you know what? When I got home a few minutes later my cat showed up:)
I kinda like hurricanes (maybe its just me). Tropical storm Fay has given us here much needed rain. Last August was just a never ending supply of 100 degree days and this August has been quite nice. I say three cheers for climate change.
But when Obama stands on his temple steps, fear the Zot!
Check your hearing aid. She was asking, “God help me with all this ironing.”
“The Earth Is Not Your Mother”
;-)
This is hurricane season.
Hurricanes happen.
Well you know how it can go- do a good turn-—and good on getting the cat back.
