I hate to say this, but they’ll get a huge bounce out of tonight. Klinton hit a big time homer tonight.
“Mr Obama will make history on Thursday night when he accepts his party’s nomination, becoming the first black candidate of a major party in an American general election.”
My wife and I will be making history in November. It will be the first time we’ve voted against a “black” presidential candidate.
No they won’t. No one’s watching, and they don’t care.
Besides, Clinton cannot reverse Obama’s unfavorables in the states that matter.
The Messiah WAS ON STAGE tonight! Didn't you see it? I wet myself! He said nothing but I believe him! Awesome.
Yup. Expect about 10 points. Problem for McCain is Hurricaine Gustav. TX is mobilizing, expecting possibly NO hit. Pray that thing goes away. How could Bush and all our guys give speeches while the coast is being ravaged? We may not have a convention to get a bounce from.
Perfect!
Do yourself a favor and don’t fall into the “every good speech is a homerun” mindset. This convention will be a vapor in a week, the average American is surfing channels trying to avoid coverage of it. It is just a dog and pont show for their own red-meat followers, nothing more nothing less.
By doing what?
Photoshop doesn’t make me do it too often, but in this case;
LMAO.
Good one.
I think we’ll start to see a big bounce in tomorrow’s tracking polls. I hope not, but I think we should be prepared for it because it is most likely coming.
Zogby and Rasmussen were on Hannity today talking about the polls. Zogby thought Obama would be up about 5 by the end of the convention. But he said by end of next week, it would be back to dead even.
He is usually pretty good. I remember him saying Obama would get about 6 points out of the European trip, but it would dissipate within the week (and it did).
I’m not. It was vintage Klinton. Now the MSM will take the best of it and use it to make Nobama look like “he’s ready”. On the other hand, Biden’s speech blew chunks and may have actually given McCain some good material.
I believe McCain needs to move into the lead by the time the GOP convention ends if he wants to win in November. If it is still tied in a couple of weeks, it will probably be close all the way to election day, and the RAT fraud this year is going to be unprecedented. It could swamp us.
If Osama does not get a convention bounce, he is going down for sure. Most of the time democrats count on getting the 10-15 pt. bounce like Klinton did. Even Algore got a decent bounce, although Kerry’s was slim.
I disagree. I think that if Stuttering Barry isn’t up by at least TEN points the weekend before the election, he’s losing. Wilder/Bradley Effect.
