It is also chafing some Lieberman allies and others wary of the selection of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.Either is a horrible choice and hands away any advantage McCain has gained.

Nice unbiased headline writing. Almost looks like “Rove tried to kill Lieberman with a pick.”

As I posted on another thread (a week or two ago?), Martin helped torpedo the Fred campaign with false rumors, and listed
The Daily Kos as one of his favorite websites.
Why anyone regards him as anything more than a saboteur, shill, and whore, is beyond me.
Cheers!

Exactly this is pack of lies peddled by a hard core McCain hater ands his fellow washed up leftists who previously peddled DNC talking points at the Compost and Slim magazine.

This Lieberman crap makes no sense. RNC bylaws state the top and bottom of the ticket MUST be registered republicans for at least a month.

I had no idea that Rove was such a likable person until he joined Fox.

Well Rove has certainly changed my opinion for the better.
I would not in the least discount that McCain is taking advice from Rove through a surrogate.
This picking a VP for McCain is causing me to have heartburn or i.n.d.i.g.e.s.t.i.o.n

Why would he? It would be the culmination of Rove’s work.
To: sazerac
I could always tell from the occasional smirk or look in his eyes that he had a great sense of humor and was a lot of fun (already knew he was brilliant). I was right. He is a great fit for FOX too and is an excellent addition. We are going to be seeing a lot of him in years to come. He is darn good at what he does but he is also multi talented. Go Carl!

This Lieberman crap makes no sense. RNC bylaws state the top and bottom of the ticket MUST be registered republicans for at least a month. So if Lieberman becomes a registered Republican in September...?
At any rate, bylaws are at best gentlemans' rules, and at worst mere speed bumps for a "maverick" candidate.
It would be amazing if McCain decided to shoot himself in the foot, just as he's starting to edge past Obama in the polls. Arrogance cuts both ways, I guess, and human nature's capacity for self-destruction is often limitless.

Rove needs to shut-up and return to Texas. This is not his choice.Really? I thought he knew a thing or two about winning. What would your keyboard approach be exactly?

1. rove is free to put in his 2 cents.
2. lieberman was free to disregard
3. don’t foreget 2006, the year AMNESTY blew the republicans out of the water and the year DINO trumped RINO.
I think this is a tempest in a teapot.
It will only matter IF lieberman is picked. (seriously a VP who is going to be president of the senate and who caucuses with the ENEMY party?)

It will only matter IF lieberman is picked.Correct. But he wouldn't do something this stupid. Obviously McCain want Hillary voters, but I don't want them in my house.
