DENVER -- In anticipation of whether or not the weather will cooperate for Barack Obama's open-air political concert at Invesco Field, The Wall Street Journal did a breakdown of weather patterns that have occurred on tomorrow’s date, Aug. 28.
Four years ago on that date, the temperature dipped to 42 degrees. Winds as high as 53 miles per hour have also been clocked on that date.
But a repeat of the biblical swarm of locusts that darkened the skies and destroyed the land in Aug. 28, 1875, would make for great television.

The pukefest started with tornados in Denver, so who knows? Oh, and just to be FAIR, so far it’s looking possible another major hurricane has it’s sights on New Orleans at the start of the Pubbies convention.

Salena, your boss is underutilizing you.
Since there’s so much buzz about a female VP choice, you should write an article denying that you got a call from McCain and that the choice is you. From there you could insert some semiautobiographical material about what you would do as vice presidential candidate. If it were me, I’d bring up the birth certificate forgery thing, but since it’s you, you get to write what you want. The more humorous the better, along the lines of Dave Barry.

I would like rain consisting of small fish, if that is possible for anyone to pray for that. It has happened before, probably not in CO though. Why fish? They smell and with the upturned nose of The Obama and sourpuss looks on spectators, it would brighten my day :) I have so little joy in my life.
