Warren Haynes~Fire In The Kitchen
Turn up those speakers!
I’ve loved that song for years, now my seven year old loves it.
Hello Canteeners!

Molly Hatchett, Flirtin' With Disaster
Lynyrd Skynyrd, Sweet Home Alabama
The Allman Bros., Jessica
ZZ Top, I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide
Lynyrd Skynyrd, Free Bird
Seen three of the bands (Molly Hatchet, the Allman Bros., and ZZ Top) in person.
I have seen Lynyrd Skynyrd half dozen times and a pal of mine books them....they do for your soul as a Southrner what PInk Floyd does for everyone....does that make sense?
They pretty much encompass what a privilge it is to be an American of the South.
It’s peculiar but so special and fun and rich in heritage and a sense of commonality beyond just national pride.
I thank God daily I was born in Goldsboro North Carolina at Seymour Johnson AFB in 1957 to two 5th generation Mississippians and now call Nashville home after many years outside the South and the USofA.
Aside from LS....all good country except Bakersfield ..which is actually southern..is from Dixie...ok, Australia gets a small nod
today there is some fun stuff from the south....Drive By Truckers, Southern Culture on the Skids, Reckless Kelly, Cross Canadian Ragweed, North MS Allstars, Shooter Jennings
the most accomplished southern bands were arguably the Allman Brothers and Little Feat
David Allen Coe and Billy Joe Shaver deserve nods for just still being here.
Waylon RIP
Hey there Kathy. Thanks, I think I will.
Why, thank ya, Ma’am. Good old (very old!) time Southern Rock!
