Well,, it is well known that Eric Cantor is on the short list as VP.... and he is NOT on the guest list at the RNC rally this weekend..... makes you kind of wonder ? doesn’t it ?
I thonk Cantor would bring tremendous assets to McCain. I am starting to really dig this guy.
Who is on the RNC rally guest list? Palin? Romney?
Is this one in St. Paul before the convention kicks off or is this rally part of the 3 state party?
I know I told the people I have lines to at the McCain brass ring that Cantor should be in the top three. I pray they are listening (and not just cuz I’m jewish....)
Cantor gets us Lieberman as a campaign surrogate for all the Jewish votes in Florida. And Cantor has spent the last decade doing more to work the Christian evangelical base than McCain has by a huge margin.
And Cantor is better looking than most and way better looking that Biden. And Cantors youth will be a nice offset to McCain and he’ll look great in comparison to Bidens hair plugs.
ALL of those are great points about Eric
:)
it’s more than that. I’m Catholic. The thing about Cantor is that he brings all of Romney’s assets and none of his liabilities. There is no footage of Cantor bashing McCain as there is of Romney. That means that McCain can run Hillary and Biden attacks on BO all fall w no retribution.
There is ALL that too about Eric...
:)
Here’s another irony - Cantor, a Jew, will cause fewer headaches with evangelicals than Romney, a Mormon.
Think of what Cantor can do w the Jewish vote in FL, VA, CT, PA, NJ and beyond.
Eric cantor will have the Republicans in the House be3hind him
My congressman spoke highly of him a couple of weeks ago..
they are all proud of him and standing with him to call Pelosi back...
Eric has great leadership experience in the House...
The Christians will support Eric...
Especially the pro-life ones...
Let me find yesterday’s article, I will post it for you.
After I posted, I thought that might be what you were referring to. Thanks.
My fear is, just as it was for the last decade, that McCain is listening to his own coterie who are not and never were members of the GOP grassroots and somebody like Pawlenty somehow looks like a brilliant idea.
I won’t be pissed off if Mitt is picked but I think it would just be the inside-the-park-home-run if he grabbed Cantor.
Um, that was Lieberman in 2000.
But Lieberman did not became VP, Chenney did. : )
