Still, you'd think that some of the media and other Demagogues would have seen the significance of this stuff.....

Just as likely, the media and the other Demagogues probably didn't have any problem with Ayres and would've befriended him themselves.

They saw nothing wrong with the association.

Hillary already has a connection...her husband, Bubba, pardoned two of Ayers/Dorhn’s fellow WU terrorist pals during his last days in office. Both were in prison for the murderous Brinks heist. She would rather see idiot Barry lose this time than have that tin can tied to her tail.

If BO’s nomination is confirmed, exposure of Ayers/COLB etc. can all be attributed to the repubs somehow cause Hilly no longer has a dog in the show. When he falls(due to the EVIL repubs) she can heroicly step in without losing the black vote.
If BO doesn’t get nominated due to floor fight or Ayers or ?,then she’s potentially “the bad guy” and won’t get his black/dedicated votes when he does eventually go down.
In any case, BO will never be in the white house.
Make sense to you?

Exactly — given that Hillary’s Bubba had PARDONED two of the Weatherfreaks who had actually MURDERED people, she did not dare make an issue of these associations for Obama.

btw, I got an email response from a liberal family member who has already received the new talking points memo for the left (yes, unfortunately, I have a couple of family members who do loyally subscribe to those). She compared Ayers to the “neocons” and glibly said both parties have people they need to keep at arm’s length...... so expect a lot of nonsense about “neocons” to re-surface now as the Obama-cons try to “re-frame” the whole issue about Ayers and Obama. So you see, Obama has his Ayers and President Bush had Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz, so there!!

Picked up this comment by CJ today on Michelle Malkin's blog:

On August 27th, 2008 at 10:49 am, I’m not convinced that it’s the Ayers-Obama link that the campaign wants to hush up. Oh, they’d like that to go away, but I think there may be something more damaging. BO was Chairman of the Board of the CAC, which had a cool $100+ million to enact hopeandchange in some of Chicago’s worst schools. So, after blowing through this cool $100+ million, where’s the hopeandchange??? The kidlets who had the opportunity to experience this $100+ million of hopeandchange are now adults. Did their schools start graduating a higher percentage of students? Did test scores rise? Did more students attend (and the all-important statistic, graduate from) college? What kind of education can a cool $100+ million buy? The average cost a private school is about 5K/year. If that cool $100+ million had been used to award scholarships to poor students stuck in the worst of these schools, a couple of thousand of them could have attended private schools — for all 12 years of their childhood. BO was ultimately responsible for the cool $100+ million. How was it spent? Who was hired? Why don’t we see the promised hopeandchange? And most importantly, if Barak Obama was a failure in his ONLY executive endeavor, why would anyone even consider him fit to run a country??? And if the American people start thinking about that last question …

This is the first time I have heard how much money may have been involved over which Ayers and BO might have had accessible to them or whatever...??

I seem to recall there was one debate appearance where she did mention it and Obama promptly smacked her down with the presidential pardon reminder.

Still, it is remarkable she didn't pursue the thing. She is a veteran at slithering out of such traps, Obama is not. And the nation is used to Clinton's smelly acquaintances. And the people Clinton pardoned weren't close associates as Ayers and the rest were close to Obama.

Last week I thought McCain would win by 10 points. Now, maybe with the Ayers stuff about to break, I’m thinking 15 points. This is going to be a blowout for McCain. Thank the Lord the Clinton’s dropped the ball during the primary season.

Plausible deniability is what the Klintons are all about. They are masters at letting others do their dirty work for them. And fall on their swords if need be.

No offense to “CJ” but I’ve been saying that for months!! :^)

Obambi and Ayers had $110 million or so to prove the possibilities of educational “reform” yet their own project’s final report acknowledges that virtually nothing of consequence was accomplished.

Given that this is the ONLY significant leadership role Obama has taken in his professional life, the media (and attack ads) should be all over this — what did they do with all that money besides holding retreats and workshops, what did they actually ATTEMPT to accomplish (if anything), what are the metrics by which Obambi’s performance can be evaluated, etc.

Was there any accountability at all??? I read that even though National Review and others are now getting access to Annenberg archives, the crucial Audit Reports are still being withheld!! There’s a lot more to understand about the Ayers/Obama stuff with Annenberg, but so far as I can tell Obama accomplished nothing at all with $110 million but now thinks he is qualified to take over the $2 trillion federal budget to show us all how well he can blow that money (not that federal bureaucrats and Congresscritters need much help in the waste department).

The sad part is that the ability to blow through $100M on social issues is likely considered a key attribute of a Democrat leader.

I heard 50 million, which is minor league edu. spending.
Look at Washington and the Republican Party to throw our money around like it was their own. They are as bad as the democrats with their

“No Child Left Behind Act”

for just one example...

Over the time of this law, Congress increased federal funding of education, from $42.2 billion in 2001 to $54.4 billion in 2007. This equates to an increase which outpaced inflation by 5%. No Child Left Behind received a 40.4% increase from $17.4 billion in 2001 to $24.4 billion. The funding for reading quadrupled from $286 million in 2001 to $1.2 billion. A 2008 study from the Department of Ed, “Reading First Impact Study: Interim Report,” analyzes the performance of students in 12 states who were in grades one to three during the 2004-5 and 2005-6 school years and concluded that the Reading First Program, a major billion dollar a year NCLB effort, had proven “ineffective.”

I haven’t forgotten the 8 year spending binge that Bush and company have been engaged in.

And thank God for something else that has nothing to do with this blog and that is, the Catholic church is finally taking a very strong stand enforcing its anti-abortion position and telling the politicians to re-think or they’ll be denied the sacrament of communion.

‘Bout time!

Video: Obama and Ayers, the “Hype” trailerposted at 1:18 pm on August 27, 2008 by Allahpundit

It’s not a trailer, actually. It’s a snippet from the film itself, premiering next week in Minneapolis during the convention and produced by Citizens United, the conservative outfit led by former Whitewater investigator David Bossie that attacked Maverick with a “McCain = Hillary” ad during the primaries. Nothing here you don’t already know but plenty here that the average voter doesn’t, so expect it to draw the usual hysterical denunciations-sans-arguments from the left eager to kill the meme but without any effective rebuttal to the charge. Ayers is much more dangerous for Obama than Rezko is, I think: The public’s not going to reject a guy for engaging in the sort of petty graft which they assume all politicians engage in, but hobnobbing with terrorists is a different matter. Absent any defense of his......

Who said she “let it get away”? She needs to NOT say a word and let others do it.

This is *exactly* what Hillary has been frustrated about. She knew that Obama has some skeletons in his closet that are okay for Chicago politics, but that are total showstoppers for national office. But what could she do? Destroy the left wing legend with right wing arguements? It's one thing for her to see the bus heading towards Barack, but to push him towards it would be political suicide.

If you think about it, all of her actions for the last year make sense. She knows he'll be eviscerated by the Republicans, but if she eviscerates him first, she'll take the blame, and her dream of being President dies forever.

All she can do is what she's doing now. Look at the crowd look at her, everyone knowing that Barack is doomed, and that Hillary would have won, and let that thought soak in, so it's deep and ingrained by 2012. She can't steal the election now, but she can bargain for her position next time in electoral blood.
