Tax CUTS??? I know he understands how it all works and that's what makes it even more horrid! The taxes he will be raising will cause wages to decrease and jobs to be lost... That is NOT the way to "save" the Middle Class and "relieve" our burdens!!!

No Way No How Nobama!

Who does he think he's kidding?

Around 50% of the ignorant masses, apparently. We'll see how that works out for him.

I don’t understand it either really... My daughters had a friend out visiting them from California. Her mother and I were talking and she started saying how HORRID the economy was right now, and that we were in such a bad recession. I kind of just mumbled something about everyone having to work hard - I didn’t want to get into a huge argument with my daughters’ friend’s mom, whom I had just met! LOL

The cost of living has gone way up in some places like Colorado, in the last 8 years, but that wasn’t due to any of Bush’s policies - it was due to people fleeing California, coming to Colorado, and driving up the price of housing because everything was “cheap” compared to what they were paying in CA. It’s the reason our family made the move back to the Mid-West as well.

Of course though, according to the Dems, everything we have gone through is Bush’s Fault! I don’t suppose any of them will ever truly understand. And, if they do I’m afraid most of them are well aware of what Obama is trying to do - mainly turn the US into a Communist Country - and it’s not like they would be complaining... At least not at first.

Californians have also screwed up the housing market here.

They overpaid for property out there, and have caused increased values everywhere(which are now falling).

Exactly right. Clinton promised tax cuts to get elected and then gave us the biggest tax increase in history... He has never been held accountable. The only reason he got a balanced budget was because of Gingrich and the Republican who took charge in ‘95. Obama is less trustworthy than Clinton and should not be believed on this issue.

The Democrats with their friends in the press are now equating “payroll” taxes (Social Security) with “income” taxes. Their idea now is to relieve their constituents of the burden of even SS payments and pass that on to the people who are already funding everything else.

Someone needs to ask Obama what he plans to do to “reform” Social Security...

Econ-101
Rich people do NOT bury their money in the back yard!
They buy goods & services, which creates more jobs.
The expand their business, which creates more jobs.
They make their money available to be lent out for mortgages and business expansion, which creates more jobs.
These additional jobs means these there are more people contributing to the tax base and government receipts.
This is what really irritates liberals, because fewer people are in need of government hand-outs, which inhibits their ability to buy votes.
If Obama cuts taxes for the middle class, while raising them for the upper class, the result will be an increase in the number of unemployed, dependent on government handouts, and reduced tax receipts from which to fund his give away programs.

WAIT. You all are jumping right in without thinking about this.

The President can SAY anything, but it takes CONGRESS, most specifically the House, to draw up the bill and see it from Committee to the Floor. So nothing he SAYS he will do that is not Constitutionally guaranteed as in his 'pay grade' as President. Do not be fooled by rhetoric . . . Barry O' thinks he can fool the voters, and he will fool some of them, but probably only the ones who've been drinking Kook Aid. (not a typo)

On Dec. 30, 2007, Obama said: "We were still struggling with all the student loans we had to pay off after law school, because neither of us were rich," he said. "Our parents couldn't provide us with all that education. We had to borrow. We hadn't started a college fund yet for our kids. We hadn't started saving for retirement. We had some credit cards we had to deal with. We were living in a small condo that was getting a little too small for our two kids."

People nodded their heads. "I was doing the grocery shopping," Obama continued. "Michelle shopped at Target. She does still shop at Target. She really loves Target." He quoted his wife telling him, "I think one of the reasons you'd make a good president now is...we're not that far from being normal."
As he tries to connect with "normal" people.

On April 22, 2008, Obama said: “So it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations,” Mr. Obama said, according to a transcript that appeared Friday on the Hufington Post Web site. Back in December the Obama's weren't that far from normal, but now, normal is bitter, clinging to guns or religion or don't like people who are not like them. Which is it, Barry O'?

On Sept 18, 2007 it is reported: The Illinois senator’s plan to “relieve the burden of the middle class” includes four points: 1) an income tax cut of $500 per person (or $1,000 per working family) for 150 million Americans; 2) a universal mortgage interest credit of 10% for homeowners who make under $50,000 a year; 3) the elimination of income tax for retirees making less than $50,000 a year; and 4) simplifying the process of filing a tax return. So now Middle Class is under $50,000? For how many in a household? One? Two? Four? Ten? This number means NOTHING without Household Size.Obama's Tax Fairness PlanI urge you to read his plan.

Barry O' wants YOU to Believe but fails to say exactly WHAT. Barry O' wants you to believe in Change but doesn't exactly say WHAT. Barry O' wants you to hope but doesn't exactly say In WHAT. Barry O' is full of himself.

“Democrat Supply Side Economics vs Republican Trickle Down Economics?”

The problem is that Dem’s don’t believe in “Supply Side Economics” in it’s true sense, AND “Trickle Down Economics” is an ignorant, pejoritive term for those too stupid to understand the “multiplier effect” outlined in my earlier post.
