Eric Cantor is a relentless and confident debater. He has proven during his interviews with Chris Matthews, Laura Ingraham, and CNN's John Roberts that he can masterfully defend conservative positions without even blinking an eye. He can also effectively attack his opponents when prompted. Cantor would be a thorn in the Obama Campaign's side.
In regards to who would do the least amount of damage to the ticket, Pawlenty and Cantor seem to hold an advantage over Romney with little elaboration necessary. Mitt Romney has the reputation of being a flip-flopper. His pro-choice positions of yesteryear are still bothersome to Evangelicals. Romney is also a Mormon. And even though this is the 21st century, Romney's religious faith is still problematic for many voters. It is unfortunate because Romney is immanently qualified to be president.
Pawlenty and Cantor would be inoffensive selections for McCain. Tim Pawlenty is an Evangelical Christian and Eric Cantor is Jewish. Both of them are pro-life. Eric Cantor's voting record in Congress earned him a 100% rating from the National Right to Life Committee and a 0% rating from NARAL.
For those keeping score, Eric Cantor fared well in both categories. Pawlenty and Romney presented problems for McCain.
Does that mean that Cantor is the best choice? It's tough to tell. Romney has credibility in economics during a time when the economy is a central issue. A McCain-Romney ticket brings with it expertise in foreign relations and economics. But McCain also can't ignore that Cantor has experience in business. Along with his law degree, Cantor holds a masters degree in real estate development. He also did work for several years in his family's business. Such experience gives him first hand insight into the small business world.

The fact that Eric Cantor has a Master degree in Real Estate and has worked in the business gives him insight into perhaps the most important economic issue of the year. That would be a big asset to the GOP ticket.
Cantor is a choice that would make me smile for the first time in a while.
Aaaaant!!!!
Romney has too much baggage, real or imagined. Cantor would be a solid move by me.
Palin.
I’ll take Romney’s double MBA/JD, thank you, not to mention his decades of economic success. Plus he has already been examined by the public.
You go right ahead. I will be happy to offer suggestions on places they could be kept, if need be.
Plus he has already been examined by the public.
Yeah, that turned out real well.
Now, where was that picture...oh, there it is...
He doesn't stand up to Mitt in any way shape or form.
If the Evangelicals want to HATE Mitt, then they need to reconsider what they are. Evangelizing HATE is not at all following Christ. It would serve them far better to make Mitt a prayer target rather then the HATE target. Evangelicals have damaged their credibility and all they stand for and that includes the snake oil salesman, Mike Huckabee. Evangelicals need to stand up and do the RIGHT thing ... for a change of pace. Support who is best as VP and that is Mitt.
What a sorry state we are in if THAT impresses people.
Now come on don’t use his own words to show who he really is.....
Thats a no no ;->
NOT
GOING
TO
HAPPEN
I would prefer someone with proven executive experience. According a bio I just read (I really never heard of him before) other than running a small family real estate business, Cantor has been a legislator and that’s it. The most important qualification is someone who can step into the toughest exectutive postion in the world. Nothing suggests he is up to it.
Hate - why is it the only people who mention hate are those defending MR or lds?
And what is an evangelical?
And why did Utah vote 90% for MR did they hate MH?
I wonder at what point your continued rants about 'the Evangelicals' will classify YOU as the bigot.
See, because I'm not an Evangelical. I just not a fan of MA liberals trying to masquerade as conservatives.
Well, don't worry about it.
Cheer up! Have a laugh. Here's a picture detailing Mitt Romney's oh-so-awe-inspiring economic prowess to give you a smile:
Toodles! :)
Democrats' docile RINO Romney installing HillaryCARE=Romneycare
without a citizen's vote: "Anything else you want?
Romney: Make all the promises you have to...

Not Guilty
The "Warrior and the Woman" will Win BIG
as a very large fraction of the pro-Hillary frustrated Democrat women
crossover in each of the 50 --not 57 Obama-- states.
I’ll take either Cantor or Pawlenty as Veep. Romney’s flip-flopping during the primary caused him to have high negatives with independents. The Dems are salivating over the prospect of Romney as Veep. They believe Romney will stink the GOP ticket.
If he picks any woman, he wins
