I think a high speed rail would be a great addition to the state, heck I’d use it. However, there’s no way in hell I’m voting for this albatross, the last thing you do when you’re in debt is go on a shopping spree. We can’t afford it, it won’t pay for itself, if it would then private companies would be funding it themselves.

He’s not just a girlie man, he’s an “easy” girlie man. The big spending fraternity brothers in Sacramento make sure they invite that girlie to every party.

Betcha it will be more like $100 billion and thats just for the SF-LA part.

The Feds did a study of this about 10 years ago and concluded that the kind of high speed rail being contemplated here makes no economic sense (although an Acella type train running might make sense in some places -— e.g., LA-Las Vegas).

If CA. residents approve this bill they are crazier then I think they are. This project will cost twice as much as projected and take twice as long to complete than estimated. It will never be self supporting so the tax payers will have to cover any loses for years to come.

Mass transportation is a net loser. No one can make money off it. That’s why the state has to build it.
