The first night of the Democratic National Convention, featuring an address by Michelle Obama, drew fewer broadcast television viewers than the event four years ago, when former President Bill Clinton kicked things off.
ABC, CBS and NBC brought in 12.1 million viewers in the 10 p.m. hour, down one million from 2004, according to preliminary, fast-national data from Nielsen Media Research. NBC scored the largest audience.
Later in the day, when final broadcast and cable ratings came in, it became clear that the cable news networks' blanket coverage pushed audiences much higher.

Yeah... Obama is in trouble. The lack of general and widespread excitement over his coronation is starting to look like a landslide in McCain's favor.
Normally I watch both conventions out some civic duty or some such, but I’m even bothering this time - I have plenty of stuff on DVR to watch. And this from a political junkie.
Carville really ripped it, but we know who he is in the tank for.

Watched reruns of NCIS, Reba and M*A*S*H*, so far...Thinking about Murder She Wrote, or watching an episode of Remington Steeloe on Hulu..or some I Dream of Jeannie... Maybe catch that movie ‘Jumper’ on PPV....Anything to avoid watching these imbeciles and those trying to dissect what they say, like there’s some kind of hidden gems of wisdom in the poisoned pap they are droning..
