Members of CodePINK, an organization opposed to the Iraq war, held aloft an effigy of Civil Rights icon Rosa Parks as they marched along Colfax Ave. today.
Members of the group sang "We shall not be moved," an anthem of the Civil Rights movement, and chanted as they paraded on the second day of the Democratic National Convention.
The group wants Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama to pledge to end the occupation of Iraq, said Renay Davis, 58, a Code Pink member from San Francisco.
"At this point I will vote for him. He is our last hope for change but the road to change begins with peace," she said.
The group of several hundred people marched from Civic Center Park to Speer Boulevard, several blocks from the Pepsi Center where the Democrats are holding their convention.
In 1955 Parks, refused to give up her seat on a Montgomery, Ala. bus to a white man, sparking the Montgomery bus boycott.
A group of demonstrators also carried an about 50-foot long copy of the preamble to the Constitution.
As they assembled to begin the march a small group of men armed with placards bearing Biblical references railed against homosexuals and those opposing the war.
"You hate America. You are a group of snot-nosed ingrates, go back to Berkeley," yelled one man.
"Keep your God to yourself," a protester yelled back.
Hey nitwits — the war in Iraq is OVER. Our side won, your side lost. Go back to Berkeley and STFU.
Is there someone else under that dress? What’s that sticking out between her legs?
my gut feeling is that it’s gut

Both pictures are photoshopped. Why post them when there are so many real Code Stink pictures to laugh at and make fun of?
it’s the thought that counts
