You bet. I am currently east of LAX near the eastern approach, several dozen miles east of LAX. Have not seen an aircraft for over 15 minutes. Very unusual.
After all the years of living with visibility of the flight path, it still catches me off-guard sometimes, watching just how MANY flights are ongoing at any given time, it’s so busy — especially at night when you can watch the lights one after the next. So, yeah. Having it disappear is disconcerting.
