I have to agree with you. And this is also why I hate these huge convention shindigs. They are just for propaganda spreading and the media gives them carte-blanche to get away with whatever they want, without questioning one word. Any dummy knows that the crowds they have there are already brainwashed sheeple and they don't need to spread more lies to convince them that their candidate is best. All those delegates and hangers-on cheering and whooping it up listening to lies that excite them into a mindless frienzy are people who have already shown they will swallow anything. Half of them are probably half-crocked on liquor, or high on something anyway because it is party-time for them. As long as there is some fun and entertainment to be had they will keep believing whatever is being said. Kinda like an office Christmas party where people say and do the stupidist things while drunk and everyone thinks they are so clever and cheers them on.

Conventions aren't actually to pick a candidate anymore - they are actually contests to see which speaker tells the best and biggest, most convincing whopper that ignites the most applause and cheering. That is what they are celebrating - the power of the pathological liars! A convention of Con-Artists is all it is.

I think each speaker should be hooked up to a lie-detector during his/her speech and the country be allowed to see the results during their delivery on stage. I fear that (in both parties,unfortunately) all the speakers would be debunked very quickly.
