Day 11: Obama's Friends Get Him In Trouble Again
Human Events ^ | 8/26/08 | staff

Plenty of people know who Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, and Tony Rezko are, but Senator Barack Obama's got another friend stirring a new controversy—his mentor, Illinois Senate President Emil Jones.

Jones is accused of calling a Hillary supporter and Chicago political consultant an "Uncle Tom." After refusing to apologize, he later offered a semi-apology, ONLY after being offered a speaking role at the Democratic National Convention by Obama. This is the latest in a string of Obama's associates who have been publically discredited for crimes, bigotry, and anti-Americanism.

"Being president means making personal judgments about the character and intentions of people working for your administration," says David Freddoso, author of the bestseller The Case Against Barack Obama. "Obama has repeatedly shown he is incapable of making these judgments. Worse than his insensitive comments, Emil Jones will be able to roll $578,000 from his campaign account into his personal bank account after he retires. That is thanks to a 1998 ethics reform bill that Obama helped Jones pass."

If Obama's "new politics" is about lining up with bigoted friends and helping them fill their bank accounts, Americans might want to think twice about his promise of "change."

At some point shouldn't people realize that Obama is just as radical and stupid, if not more so, than the dirtballs he hangs around with?

Allowing Jones to speak at the convention is absolutely suicidal. The Republicans will bring all his faults to light during his speech. I am not sure if this is arrogance, over-confidence, unbridled stupidity or all of the above. I expected this kind of suicidal campaigning from, McCain, the Maverick, but apparently he has some really good handlers.

I should have withheld comment on McCain until after his VP choice was announced. I am not sure who it will be, because I am having trouble determining who the worst possible choice would be. But that narrows it down to Ridge, Romney or Liebermann.

Sure he is (radical and stupid).

Otherwise why would the dirtballs be attracted to him?

My take is that emotionally Obama is just an abandoned teenager who has tried to create himself as some "great black hope" for the future. Problem is that he has rejected half of his genetic make up. He's Arab by 7/16 and Negro by 1/16 (the part that the USofA uses to determine eligibility for African-American status is Negro African not Arab African) and he is 1/2 White. He's turned out the way he has because he hasn't come to terms with his "white folk" self. Until he does . . . he's no good to anybody.

Wiley, yes. Stupid, because he won't confront his fears.
