I have to say I thought of the same things after reading this article. I hadn't heard of Marshall's supposed like of "little brown boys" - do you happen have a source for that?
I personally think that Obama's views of his mother were shaped by Davis as well...
Here is an excerpt from a post I put together at my "anti-Obama" blog about this article yesterday...
Obama and His Pedophile Mentor (Frank Marshall Davis) < SNIP > Another thing that popped into my head while reading this article was Obamas commentary on his mothers relationships with black men. It would appear that Obamas thoughts about his mother being enamored with black men due to their portrayal in the media of the time, may have instead been directly influenced by his associations with Davis. After all, Davis writes in his book, the following, as reported by The Telegraph:
He boasted that the number of white babes interested in at least one meeting with a Negro male has been far more than I can handle and wished America were as civilised as, say, Scandinavia. He concluded: I regret none of my experiences or unusual appetites; for me they are normal.
- Frank Marshall Davis, alleged communist, was early influence on Barack Obama by Toby Herndon, The Telegraph, UK, August 24, 2008
No, sorry. I read that article on line a few months ago, but now I can no longer locate it. I brought it up on another board recently and a few said that they had also seen it, so I know I didn’t dream it.
Must have been ‘scrubbed’ like so many other articles detrimental to Obama have been on the net.
Thanks for the input.
