What does Mitt Romney bring to the table that McCain needs.

What doesn't he bring? He's the perfect VP. He's articulate for one. When's the last time we had a Republican president or VP who didn't make a fool out of himself?

Love to see Duncan Hunter selected. He would make an outstanding VP during the tough times to come with Russia. He would likely be in the mould of Dick Cheny.

Unlikely though.

There still is a really good chance that John will select a woman. I hope he does.

Well fortunately the Romney loathers are a minority, albeit a noisy minority! Consider that when Ronald Reagan first started making waves in the Republican Party, many old-line conservatives loathed him as well ("He was a Democrat for crying out loud - and a Hollywood movie actor too!").

But fear not, they will eventually come around. For Mitt Romney is the present and future of the Republican Party. He is unfairly tagged as a liberal because he happened to be a governor in the most left-wing moonbat state in America. It's a miracle that he was elected governor as well, beating a Shrillary clone in the process. It is also unfortunate that as governor, Romney had to work with a state legislature that was 90% moonbat so we never got to see his full potential. Just as we never got to see Reagan's full potential as he had to work with Tip O'Neil's Democrat Congress all those years.

Mitt Romney is far more conservative than many people think and unlike the majority of politicians, Romney is as decent and patriotic as they come. His "family values" is not an act. He walks the walk.

Romney even ran against Ted Kennedy for the Senate in 1994. A thankless job if there ever was one. Ronald Reagan in his prime couldn't defeat the Chappaquiddick Kid in this moonbat state. But Romney stepped up to the plate and gave Ted his biggest scare since the seat was handed to him on a silver platter back in 1962.

Of course, Romney has had massive success in business and in turning around the Salt Lake Olympics, saving them from financial disaster.

Yes, Mitt Romney is the ideal running mate for John McCain and being McCain's VP will set him up nicely for 2012 and 2016, which will ensure that the Wicked Witch of the Ozarks never give us another scare again like she did this year.

Slick Willard's hard-line anti-illegal stance ?!?

Bwahahahahaha !

"On a conference call today with conservative bloggers, McCain launched his sharpest attack yet on former governor Mitt Romney, R-Mass., who has begun running television advertisements criticizing the immigration reform bill McCain is championing in the Senate.

"Maybe I should wait a couple weeks and see if it changes," McCain said of Romney’s position on immigration. "Maybe his solution will be to get out his small-varmint gun and drive those Guatemalans off his lawn."

I sort of like Dick Cheney. His overt smugness that pisses off the libs is in my view a thing of beauty to behold.

You mean like how Slick Willard had no use for Reagan and proudly proclaimed he was not for Reagan-Bush, Sammy ? You guys have a mighty peculiar definition of Conservative. Slick Willard never was, never has been, and never will be a Conservative. A 100% slimy, lying, flipflopping liberal fraud with a record of destruction.

I agree. Moreover, Romney could easily go toe to toe with Biden in the debates — and win.

Romney is no liberal.

Well, that cinches it right there. Forget about the socialist health care, gay marriage that he 'fought' while enacting. Let's forget about the leftist activist judges he appointed and the whole thing about him going on TV and denouncing the biggest pro-life group in MA for political gain. Let's forget about his distancing himself from Reagan. Let's even throw out that pesky stuff about him dissing tax cuts and calling the flat tax a 'tax cut for fatcats'. Nope, you've convinced me.

Of course, who am I to argue with the Boston Globe and the other leftist organizations who's propaganda certain gullible conservatives put their faith in?

Ahh, yes. The 'any news outlet that criticizes our Lord and savior Mitt the Merciful is hereby deemed a leftist propaganda machine' defense. Always a good one from the Mittwits.

Think again

How about you think a first time and then we'll talk.

It’s astonishing the fantasyland these twits live in... they just click their heels three times and say, “There’s no one like Slick ! There’s no one like Slick ! There’s no one like Slick !”

Lord save us from these liberal brainwashed idiots.

He actually did some anti illegal stuff in MA

Yeah, in like the last two weeks of his term, while trying to run for president as a 'conservative'. Level with us, you fill out the Publisher's Clearing House form thinking that you've actually won $1 Million, don't you?

Can anyone truly be that gullible? Or are they just on the payroll? We’ll probably never know.

You both raise valid points and yes Mitt is entitled to change his minds. He just seems to change based upon his need to get elected. That bother me, he has been all over the map on many issues.

We need a solid Conservative on the ticket and so far we don't have one.

Justice Souter was “supposed” to be a conservative and look what we got. That what worries me.

Just caught the old liberal warhorse from Massachusetts call for nationalized health care. Ted Kennedy could start using RomneyCare as a foundational base for socilaized medicine.
