Dem delegate in McCain ad kicked out of DNCC

The Democratic convention delegate and Clinton supporter who appears in the latest McCain ad saying she’ll vote for the Republican, Debra Bartoshevich, has been kicked out of the convention.

Debra Bartoshevich is persona non grata at the Democratic National Convention in Denver, now that the former delegate from Wisconsin is the star of an ad in which she proclaims her support for presumptive Republican nominee John McCain.

In the TV ad, sponsored by the McCain campaign, Bartoshevich explains that while she was a “proud Hillary Clinton Democrat,” she is unhappy that Democrats are putting Sen. Barack Obama at the top of their ticket.

Bartoshevich says she is preparing to vote for a Republican for the “first” time because she respects McCain’s “maverick and independent streak.”

The ad concludes with Bartoshevich saying that with Clinton out of the race, “now (McCain is) the one with the experience and judgment.”

“A lot of Democrats will vote McCain,” Bartoshevich says at the end of the advertisement. “It’s okay — really.”

Bartoshevich’s move has led to her ouster as one of Wisconsin’s delegates at the Democratic National Convention. But maybe she’ll find friends at a “Happy Hour for Hillary” in downtown Denver tonight.

The reception is being hosted by the Republican National Committee tonight, just a few blocks from the Democratic National Convention.

Rove was grossly overrated. Rove was good enough for Bush to win, but both races were too close for comfort.

Fox News could add her to the talking head line up and give her access to the convention. That would make some heads explode I bet.

Odd as it may seem, selecting McCain may have been the only way the GOP wins this cycle. I really wanted Mitt Romney, but I guess things are working out.

As one of the original Reagan Democrats (see my FR profile), I understand fully what Debra from the ad is going through. There will undoubtedly be some on the Right that will not like the ad, or welcome a Clinton supporter to the fold, but not me. I say Welcome aboard Debra, and I hope you get a personal invite from McCain to the RNC convention.

Besides the "to stop the Dem", nobody's ever given me a good reason to vote for McCain.

John McCain seriously recognizes the threat that is militant islam and will vigorously pursue the war on terror.

His opponent will capitulate to those same forces.

"Why in the world would you expect "McCain haters" to stay out of a thread that shows just how big a mistake voting for McCain is?"

Brilliant! Don't vote for McCain! Vote for Fred Mertz from the Itchy Tochus Party, and by doing so help to elect Obama bin Biden.

But you can hold your head up! You voted your principals!

However, I hate to break this to you ... it isn't about you. It's about the country. And your country can't afford an Obama presidency.

“Besides the “to stop the Dem”, nobody's ever given me a good reason to vote for McCain.”

How about 250 - 500 Federal Judges that will be selected by the next President. You would rather have Obama to the picking, and congress rubber stamping each appointment? No Thanks!

The GOP should give her time to make a speech at their convention in prime time! Including both Lieberman and her could start a movement of Dems to vote for McCain.

OMG! The dubious Dems have cast this Hillery supporter into outer darkness!! Excommunicated her, so to speak!!!

This reminds me of the lady Dem lawmaker who just abstained from voting on the Dem dominated CA Assembly's taxing budget proposal and was forced out of her capitol office into outer darkness across the street with five hours notice!!!

“I will be telling my delegates that I will vote for Barack Obama,” Hillary Clinton said. “How they vote is a more personal decision. They want to have their chance to vote for me. That is what traditionally happens ... some people are having to make up their minds because there are arguments pulling them both ways.”

However, I hate to break this to you ... it isn't about you.

And I hate to break it to you. "It" isn't about me or you or any other conservative out here. "It" isn't about ANYONE or ANYTHING conservative.

I voted for the lesser of two evils in every election since Reagan, including 2 Bushes and I've learned to live with the disappointment of every single one of those votes.

With a McCain presidency, you can count on Amnesty being priority #1 and global warming being priority #2. Have fun. If I had a single issue, it'd be illegal immigration. THAT's why I won't vote for McCain.

Yeah, now I'm going to learn to live with voting my CONSCIENCE and my and my family's VALUES!

I'm not going to vote with the herd anymore.

Besides. When all you "conservatives" vote for Paul McRombeeiani, the GOP is just going to be encouraged to give you more of the same and your choices are just going to go downhill from here, getting worse and worse with each election.

Go ahead and vote for the lesser of two evils and that's what you're going to get more and more of every election for the rest of your life.

Or obama’s national “security” force that will be as big and powerful as our military.

“We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.” - barack hussein obama, July 2, 2008 Colorado Springs, CO

ROFL! You're gullible if you think that Mr. "Alito wears his conservatism too much on his sleeve" McCain is going to appoint conservative judges!

Ya know, I figure from the git-go that politicians running for office are the biggest liars satan has ever placed on Earth.

The only difference I see between McCain and the Dems on that front, is that we know that the Dems are Dems and McCain lies about being a conservative in order to pander for conservative votes.

McCain lies even before the Dems lie and I have too few minutes in my life to listen to a known and proven liar.
