Are you as outraged as I am that tonight the DNC celebrates the life of the killer of Mary Jo Kopechne? I am sure that you are. Here is what I propose we do about it:

Either in this thread, the Convention live thread, or in a special thread created for this single purpose, We the People of Free Republic run our OWN tribute thread, A Tribute to Mary Jo Kopechne, concurrent with the Swimmer's tribute.

We will celebrate the life that this American teacher, secretary, administrator, daughter, never to be wife, never to be mother might have led, and talk about the possibility of those 39 years that were snuffed out on the night of July 18, 1969.

What say you all?

Looks like I'll be mercifully away from my TV when The Swimmer's "tribute" runs. If anyone wants to pick up my fumble from post #115 and run A Tribute to Mary Jo Kopechne when the Swimmer is on, that would be more than fitting. See #115 for the idea.
