No. Because the impression I got was that he changed his position to gain an advantage toward getting the nomination.
A politician is entitled to change his/her position, but the way he did it makes me suspicious.
She votes on the margins, but has never voted contrary to her base position. Her votes have said that taxpayers shouldn't have to pay for voluntary abortions, and that extreme abortions, like PBA, cross the line.
But none of those votes trample unnecessarily on her belief that woman should have the basic right to have an abortion. And that is the point I have been making from the beginning of this discussion.
NO!!!
The country does not need Pepaw/Memaw 2008.
No token females, please.
Regrettably, you're correct. Ms. Hutchison is basically pro-choice. Not an extremist pro-abort, but clearly pro-choice.
She believes that Roe v. Wade was rightly decided, and that there is a constitutional “right” for women to procure the killing of their unborn children.
Here's a link that will be of interest:
This amendment, essentially, was to put the Senate on record as saying that Roe was rightly decided, that there is a constitutional “right” to abortion.
Ms. Hutchison voted in favor of this amendment.
* sigh *

She is not 75% Pro-Life. It’s just that she voted with some of the issues associated with parental rights, etc.
She openly favors a woman’s right to choose at its core.
Not acceptable.
Palin has more executive experience than Kay, and is Pro-Life and Conservative. She is more charismatic, and a fresh face. She would also avoid us using the all-Senate ticket.
Kay is another of those Rudy types whose supporters all want to tell us how they’re Conservative if you just ignore things like Abortion.......
No thanks.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE post that info as a new thread:
KBH Openly supports abortion and reaffirms Roe as rightly decided.
Please do this, and let’s try and get it put on the sidebar. Folks are trying to sneak her in while nobody is looking.
Agreed
Not really. I stopped being a fan of hers when she voted for McCain Feingold.
But I agree with Dick Morris, she would be a strong choice and give McCain an edge with women.
Okay. I’ll see what I can do.
