Yes, I know she says she does not want to be vice president. Biden also said that. If offered she is not going to turn down the opportunity to make history. I know she will not be the first women running for vice president. But she will be the first QUALIFIED woman to do so. Geraldine Ferraro was the first one. But like Barack Obama, she was essentially an affirmative action choice. There can be no questioning of the first US female senator from the Texas, Kay Bailey Hutchison qualifications or her vote getting ability.

KBH gutted the Secure Fence Act, effectively defunding it. She did it in an effort to get the Hispanic vote when she runs for governor of Texas.
As far as I’m conerned she can kiss my baby smooth American ass.
I agree Palin, Palin, Palin. KBH would also be OK. Ridge is a BIG no for me. Liberman too.
I don’t want a woman in the VP slot anymore than I want one in the Presidential one. As a woman from a state with a woman governor, albeit a Commie woman, I just don’t think a woman would garner that many votes from Conservative/Republican women. We like men, for the most part, to be in charge.
We don’t make Margaret Thatchers here...yet.
I do agree with you on Governor Palin.
McCain has had opportunities to acknowledge us as being representative of Conservatism and has slapped us at every turn. Why would the “Maverick” want to change now?
Hoping for a Conservative pick, anticipating a Democrat or RINO pick.
Kay Bailey Hutchinson is too old!
(Don't know enough about her recent stands to know if the RINO charge has merit!)
Three legislators is too many legislators running this election cycle!
I want a Governor running, from what little I know about Palin she seems like a good choice. Choosing her would bring in youth (looks!) and show the public that the GOP was serious about solving the current energy crisis. She could explain what intellectual fraud it is by banning all drilling in ANWAR and elsewhere in Alaska. (As I understand the drilling area is about the size of LAX.) Also Biden would have the unenviable task of debating Palin and not look like he was beating up a girl!
My question is does and Palin have any ties to the Steven's politcal machine?
My question is does Palin have any ties to the Steven's political machine?
Reasons for Palin
1) She’s a woman with real life experiences
2) Governor of an energy producing state
3) She’s pro-life
4) She’s an economic/political conservative
5) She’s telegenic
6) She’s not afraid to play hard ball.
Just what we need, two open borders liberals on the Republican ticket and two radical marxists on the Democratic one.
I can see the debate now. I'm from Alaska and we want to give you all the oil and gas you could want, but guys like this Senator from Delaware are stopping us.
Pwned.
What's Biden going to do, bully a woman? Not going to happen.
Sa-rah, Sa-rah, Sa-rah...
Lame suggestion — too old, and another friggin senator congress critter. Tanks but no tanks ...
Sarah Palin please.
One major reason not to have get her is that she just had a baby with down syndrome, and she is probably still nursing the baby.
She may be good in 4 years, but she is still recouping from having a baby. Nursing is a very physical activity. How could she even campaign with a nursing baby?
Generally true, with the occasional Thatcheresque exception proving the rule.
Your post has some merit.
However, I would add this as a point of consideration:
What if 9/11 hadn’t happened?
America never really knew what W had in him until he had a disaster to respond to. History gave him the Battle of the Century, and he responded with courage and valor. History will ultimately decide what will be wirtten about his level of greatness.
Who’s to say that McCain’s veep choice, if forced into the Oval Office, could not rise to a similar level?
I really can’t argue with your premise, but I just offered something for all to think about.
Peace.
If he’s looking for a liberal Republican, she’d do. She won’t bring many votes, but she might be able to bring in some money.
Whoo Hoo! Thats our girl!
Pro-abort. Brilliant.
Then he’ll have lots of time to write his memoirs.
She’s a mother with real world experiences, something that Hillary supporters could appreciate.
I don’t care if she’s a woman, She is pro abortion and not going to get my vote ever. Why should she protect my rights if she has no qualms about killing the most innocent in our society.
At the expense of her baby, I don’t think so.
In 4 years, she may be able to run, but not with a newborn.
She chose to have a baby, so she has a responsibility to that baby first. No one else can nurse and take care of that baby like her, not even her husband.
In 4 years, but not with a newborn.
