That an utter disaster for Obama. Likely voter poll always are more Republican freindly then anyone polls. Espcially bad since CNN has a history of over sampling Dems and weekend polling usually leans left.

BAD news but McCain can still screw it up. His VP pick matters.

The survey’s sampling error is plus or minus 3.5 percentage points for all voters. For registered Democrats, it is plus or minus 4.5 percentage points, and for Democrats who still support Clinton for the party's nomination, it is plus or minus 7.5 percentage points.

Heck of a sampling error. Is CNN playing CYA here?

“Adult Americans” were questioned, not registered voters. And the subset of registered voters who are also likely voters (as you pointed out) is even more likely to be pro-McCain. So this is doubly devastating for the Messia-uhhh. (Most of the polls I see are at least “registered voters” — the likely voters polls cost much more.)

Exactly right, MNJohnnie.

Plus, this is a popular vote poll, and doesn't gauge whether Biden gave the swing-state blue-collar bump for which they were aiming. If they gained those at the expense of a bunch of California voters, then it's a win for them.
